One of the gaming highlights of 2016 was the return of one of the FPS genre's founding fathers: DOOM. The reboot took what people loved about the original games and modernised it for current gamers. It. Kicked. Ass. Over a year on, Bethesda aren't finished with DOOM just yet, and have released Update 6.66. You know, because the game is about Hell? Funny. The update itself is bringing a number of improvements to multiplayer and the SnapMap feature, but that's not all. Firstly, the season pass has now been retired, with all DLC packs now available for all players, for ... Read More »

In some respect, Prey has been a long time coming. Originally, the title was planned and announced as a sequel to the 2006 game by Human Head Studios, also known as Prey. However, development hell ensued during the following years. Mostly put down to the acquisition of the IP by Bethesda from 3D Realms. It wasn’t until eight years after its announcement that its cancellation was confirmed and all seemed dead and buried for Prey. But that was not the case after Bethesda’s announcement in 2016 that whilst not a sequel, a so called ‘re-imagining’ of the first game was ... Read More »
With The Elder Scrolls Online releasing their first dominant expansion pack within a month's time, Bethesda have released a trailer, giving previews into the new DLC. The new expansion pack is set 700 years prior to the preceding game, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, meaning that characters and places will be recognisable to the community. In the trailer, it shows the barbaric world of the Dunmer, in which the player will be travelling across in Vvardenfell. Like the main game, The Elder Scrolls Online, you have the option between three political houses: House Hlaalu, House Telvanni, and House Redoran. The game will intrigue you, ... Read More »
Players of Elder Scrolls Online have a lot to look forward to on June 6th, as the Morrowind expansion will be released for all players. To build up momentum for the hype train, Bethesda have released a trailer detailing the Morag Tong, Vvardenfell's resident league of assassins. A literal group of cut-throats, you might say. The assassins are hired by Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni: the Great Houses of Morrowind, and already this is too many names to mispronounce. If you're going to be adventuring in Morrowind, it's inevitable that you'll become embroiled with this world of political espionage. If you're interested ... Read More »

If you can't wait until it's release date on the 5th May, (click here to pre-order from Amazon) or you needed encouragement to get excited about the release of Prey then the newest trailer, "A Guided Tour of Talos I) may whet your appetite. The trailer with its commentary from some of the game developers, producers and designers shows us around the setting for Prey, the Space Station Talos I.
