EA (Electronic Arts) released their first Battlefield game in 2002 (Battlefield 1942) and like Call of Duty and Medal of Honor embraced the consumers affinity for the war-based themes of yesteryear. The franchises have becoming ever more recent in the games’ setting with “COD”‘s Modern Warfare set in the not-too-distant future.
