High frame rate causes weapon durability issues Dark Souls 2 is a pretty epic title but has been hit by a pretty epic bug, the high frame rate the game runs at is causing havoc with the weapon durability in a big way. Weapon durability in Dark Souls II is tied to frame rate, so getting 60 frames per second means weapons degrade an awful lot faster than they would when playing with 30 frames per second.
