Any residents of the Hidden Leaf Village in the house? Looks like Naruto is entering the realm of 4v4 online multiplayer games. It's already set to be an interesting departure from the traditional 1v1 arena fighters that Naruto has become accustomed to, and one that could be genuinely fun if the trailer is anything to go by. Players will pick characters from the Naruto series that fall into 1 of 4 classes: Attack, Ranged, Defense and Heal. All are fairly self-explanatory classes and roles, and the gameplay itself looks to be simple enough for anyone to pick up and play. The ... Read More »
It is currently a fantastic time to be a fighting game fan. Capcom recently announced the release daate for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite (September 19th, by the way), Injustice 2 is a mere three weeks away, and BANDAI NAMCO have dropped a whole bunch of new footage for Tekken 7. Like I said, it's a fantastic time. The first video is a character trailer showing off combos for characters like Law, Devil Jin and Hwoarang, alongside new characters like Gigas and Katarina. Each characters showcases their special move and combos better than anything I could ever pull off, and we've ... Read More »

If you are a fan of video games chances are that you have played a SoulCalibur game at least once in your life. Early 2017 feels like an age away, especially when you're super looking forward to the next instalment in the saga of the Mishima Zaibatsu: Tekken 7. Luckily, we have events like Gamescom to shower us with new details and gameplay footage, and Tekken 7 was no exception. Bandai Namco have revealed a number of details at the event. Firstly, fan favourite Lee Chaolan (and his alter-ego Violet) will be returning, which is music to my button bashing ears. Those kicks still haunt the dreams of the friends I've lost over the years. However, the biggest news regards the much touted Story ... Read More »
The adventures of Pirate Stretch Armstrong hav- no, wait. Monkey D. Luffy. Monkey D. Luffy. Anyway, Monkey D. Elastic Band Man has had a long and storied history in anime and manga. One which, quite frankly, has slipped under our radar. So would this be the game to drag us, kicking and screaming towards the high seas? Eh, probably not. One Piece: Burning Blood draws a lot of parallels to the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, as both are anime inspired fighting games that take a unique look at specific arcs within the narrative. Burning Blood opts to focus on ... Read More »

The Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm games have always been fantastic accompaniments to the Shonen Jump series, breaking down the main plot points of the series and making them playable. With voice acting from the series, excellent cel-shaded graphics and more characters than a Dynasty Warriors game, Ultimate Ninja Storm is the epitome of fan service for Naruto lovers, and this, the fourth title in the series, is certainly no exception. So let’s dispense with the most obvious conclusion of this review right now: if you’re a fan of the series, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is another superb ... Read More »
The gaming world went a little bit nuts over the weekend, as a new trailer dropped for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, and with it, both the firm confirmation of a console release, and the reveal of Akuma from Street Fighter as a guest character. With some questions still remaining, Tekken 7 Director and Producer Katsuhiro Harada took to Twitter to provide some more answers.
