We are living in the age of the remaster it would seem. Some games deserve to be remastered and some don’t. The early Assassins Creed games certainly fall into the former category. Until this year the Assassin’s Creed franchise got a yearly release, the games came around just like Christmas. Earlier this year Ubisoft said that they were going to take a year off to work on revamping the franchise. This was probably in some part down to the disappointment that was 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. For the first time since the autumn of 2009, a big Assassins Creed game is not going to be released this year. Instead, the next big Assassins Creed is going to be released in 2017.
