What a day Microsoft had unveiling Xbox One X, the official name of Project Scorpio.  One thing that a lot of Xbox fans though have been asking for is backwards compatibility to include titles from the first generation Xbox console.  Well Microsoft is now going to deliver on that request and announced during their E3 press conference that games from the original Xbox console will be available through backwards compatibility.  The newer hardware, especially the hardware in the beefy Xbox One X, will also improve performance and visuals on those original titles. Earlier this year, Microsoft attended GDC 2017 in which they announced its Xbox Live Creators Program, meaning that developers can incorporate Xbox live functionality such as achievements and multiplayer into their already-existing games that are across Windows devices. Ubisoft have given the date that we can expect to see Season Two, Shadow and Might, touching down on all formats.  That date for Season Pass holders is the 16th of May 2017 and will be available to buy using in-game Steel on the 23rd of May 2017 for all other players. Yesterday they announced that RiftStar Raiders will be coming to the Xbox One some time this year and from the trailer it looks like they are well are their way to reaching those very stars for which they strive. Xbox fans have been asking for a way to give some more personality and customization to how they look online and it's coming soon.  During the official Xbox podcast, Major Nelson Radio, Larry Hryb said that team is looking to give players the ability to create custom gamerpics.  This feature, as per Xbox's Mike Ybarra, is aimed for a release prior to E3 2017.  Unfortunately this won't be part of the Creator's Update that is rolling out now for Insider's now.  There was a cause for delay for this feature possibly due to the unpredictability of what some inappropriate images ... This week EA have been dishing out a lot of details on current and future additions to the EA Access Vault, these additions are only going to further support the idea that Access is one of the best value for money gaming subscriptions available today. Thursday saw Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 added to the Vault, meaning they join titles such as Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect on a list of games that are available in the Vault and also backwards compatible.
