We're less than two weeks away from one of the biggest releases of the year in For Honor, and we finally have some news on what kind of content we can expect post-launch. Here's a bit of a blast from my childhood: arcade racing series and unofficial driver mutilation simulator Flatout is getting resurrected for Xbox One, and it's coming in March. Titled Flatout 4: Total Insanity and developed by the Paris based studio Kylotonn Racing Games, who are responsible for WRC 5 and 6, this release will combine "classic fan-favourite features and modes with all new gameplay modes". Whether it'll be an improvement over the critically panned PC release Flatout 3 remains to be seen. The trailer, which you can watch below, certainly seems to suggest a return to the success of ... "#Skate4". This is what EA community manager Daniel Lingen tweeted on January 28th, getting Skate fans everywhere understandably excited. However, at the question and answer period at EA's quarterly investors call, they made it very clear they were "not presently making Skate 4." Bad news over, as of November 10th 2016 Skate 3 is backwards compatible, so fans of the game can load up on their Xbox One's and play the day away hitting people with your skateboard. Not that I'd condone such behavior of course. Going off of what they have said, EA hasn't closed it's doors on the Skate franchise, ... Read More »
We don't know about you but everyone here at Xbox One UK is excited to see how well the Ghost Recon: Wildlands closed beta plays when it becomes available to a lucky few Xbox One owners tomorrow. While clearly happy to use the murky subject matter as a source of entertainment, Ubisoft also appear keen to remind us that while taking on the global drugs trade and South American drugs cartels in a virtual world can be a lot of fun, there is a far darker real life war that the game takes inspiration from. "Wildlands" is a documentary commissioned by ... Read More »
Last week we spoke at length about the latest massive update that was been launched for members of the Xbox Insider program. This update was a massive overhaul to the OS and many of it's key features. Well, there's a slight problem. As with any big change there are hiccups and problems that need to be solved and this is what has happened here. By fixing and changing certain things Microsoft have caused a few little issues to occur that they just hadn't expected. But don't worry, those same people happen to care a lot about the Xbox and the ... Read More »
Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the last few weeks you will be aware of the recent For Honor closed beta that ran from 26th - 29th Jan. You may have even seen one of our resident Twitch crew, Chris Nis streaming his efforts in this hack n'slash. Well, if you are desperate to give For Honor a try then you won't have to wait much longer. Ubisoft has announced that the For Honor Open Beta will be available to all players from the 9th February until the 11th. The Beta features four game modes, (Elimination, Dominion, Brawl, and ... After EA released the last DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront in  December, our minds have been wondering where the sequel may take the game. Or how it will improve on it. However EA have broken silence and given us a taster of what to expect from Battlefront 2. Posting via Twitter, we can expect a bigger experience in brand new locations with more characters spanning the Star Wars universe and eras. Check out the full tweet below: Obviously the biggest shake up is the single player campaign. We may have to wait for more news, but if they can build ... Read More »
