Time to save the world, indie style If there’s one thing all gamers have in common it is the age old story line of world destruction, we have all experienced it at some point in our history. So what if a game uses this theme but gives it their own spin, that grabbed your attention didn’t it? Well as luck would have it one such game has cropped up that fits this description, it’s time to check out Ginger: Beyond The Crystal. As we mentioned earlier, the world has come to an end via a devastating explosion of a crystal. … Read More »

Ubisoft have released the latest trailer for the incoming sequel, Watch Dog’s 2, that focuses on the Zodiac Killer mission. At present, the only way to get your hands on this DLC mission is through pre-order. The trailer gives a brief background to the story: “In 1969, the Zodiac Killer terrorized San Francisco. Despite all the clues, only one thing is known: he was never caught.” Interestingly, there appears to be a puzzle and riddle element to the mission as the trailer teases how Watch Dog’s 2 will handle its approach the the real-life serial killer. If modern gaming has revealed anything, it’s that a game doesn’t need to be out before we start talking about the DLC. Dead Rising 4 appears to be no exception, with the Season Pass now available pre-order as part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. The list includes 3 DLC packs, though whether there’ll be more remains to be seen. The first, and seemingly least significant bit of DLC is the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, which includes a range of festive themed weapons, zombies, vehicles and costumes. The second pack is perhaps the strangest pack, known as Super Ultra … Read More »

It won’t be long now before all you adventurers can step back into the well-worn boots of the Dovahkiin to re-experience the rich world of Skyrim. Still, you won’t be going anywhere if you haven’t got the space on your hard drive. Bethesda have said that the game will need 25GB worth of space in Europe, but only 17GB in North America. Quite why there’s an 8GB difference between the two continents baffles me, but that’s the world we live in. Still, there is something to look forward to. Bethesda have said they will be releasing a new creation kit … Read More »

As November is fast approaching, the annual holiday release of one of the biggest franchises in gaming draws closer. This year, instead of the usual game related gimmick, like a remote controlled vehicle, night vision goggles or even a working mini-fridge added into the ‘prestige’ editions, Activision are giving us Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered. The Legacy edition retails for around £70 for both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered which, according to Infinity Ward’s Eric Monacelli, is the greatest deal in gaming this year. Speaking to ‘We Write Things’, Monacelli stated “As a fan of the franchise … Read More »

Friday the 13th: The Game will miss its 2016 release window and has now been scheduled for Spring 2017. However the disappointment of the delay was softened by the news that the game will now have a few added features – a single player experience (originally a missed stretch goal) and AI bots for offline multi-player. The game is predominantly an online multi-player but these new features offer options for those looking to experience the game offline. Developer Gun Media explained that the Kickstarter success story needs some extra time to add polish and additional features to make it the … Read More »
