If there ever was an eerie title, Bulb Boy is it. Developed by Bulbware, a small team from Poland, they've clearly been inspired by two things: Games of yesteryear and horror. Although at first glance, it may not seem like a horror. After all, it is a point and click adventure, but is it puzzling? Bulb Boy, the titular character wakes up from a nightmare to discover a mysterious darkness has overshadowed his house, eliminating light in its path. He hears a cry for help from his presumably father, in which he decides to go investigate and thus your journey ... Read More »
If you used to own an Xbox 360, you may remember a section of the Xbox Store aimed at independent developers with low budgets where they could release their games for the price of a cheeseburger. One in particular was Milkstone Studio's White Noise, which could be had for a couple of quid. Fast forward several years and they have now released the sequel to the cult hit - White Noise 2. White Noise 2 is an asymmetrical horror title in the same vein as the likes of Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight which pits four players (The ... Read More »
With the first title originally developed by Filthy Toof Studios, The Escapists 2 sees you taking the role of a prisoner hoping to break out using any method you can think of. Now Team 17 have taken the reigns with its sequel, but is it worth robbing the bank for? The good thing with titles like these, is that you don't need to familiarise yourself with the prequels with regards to story and such. Yes, there is a loose story in this title, but if you don't follow it, it's not going to hinder your experience whilst playing. There are ... Read More »

As we find ourselves heading to the last few days of November, it’s time to start sharing the love and giving congratulations to people that truly deserve it. Here at Xbox One UK, we like to recognise the developers in the Indie scene – these guys and girls really do deserve extra credit for their work. They painstakingly get an idea from mere thoughts into an actual game for all of us to play and enjoy, now if that doesn’t deserve a tip of the hat then I really don’t know what does. So for the month of August, we ... Read More »
