Monster Energy Supercross: The Video Game – Xbox One Review

Developer Milestone are no stranger to bringing us racing games with the likes of Sébastian Loeb Rally Evo, Ride and of course MXGP, but this year, the next iteration is under the title of Monster Energy Supercross. But how well does it perform? We’ll kick off with the introduction this game brings up immediately as you start playing. You’re kicked straight into a race with the controls displayed at the side of the screen. Normal buttons apply: RT to accelerate and LT to brake. However, LT brakes your front wheel and A brakes your back wheel – a vital necessity … Read More »

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes – Xbox One Review

I admit, I’m a fan of cartoons and watch the Cartoon Network channel regularly (with good reason to do so), but it was only a couple months ago that I discovered a little gem called OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes. Set in a small town called Lakewood Plaza, the show follows a wannabe superhero called KO who works at a store that supplies actual superheroes with goods they need. OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes, developed by Capybara Games, seems to be the perfect companion for a television show, but how well does it play? OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes puts … Read More »

Marooners – Xbox One Review

Couch co-op titles are a dying genre, especially with AAA developers pushing out (mostly) online-focused titles because that’s where the demand is at, so it’s up to smaller studios to produce those titles for when you have a friend or two around at your house. In recent years, Xbox has made quite the home for couch co-op titles, but mostly they’re filled with brawlers, some of which feature no online capabilities. Developer Rejected Games have brought to us Marooners; a party game with a twist: mini-games switch out on-the-fly between one another paving way for hectic battles. When you load … Read More »

After weeks of two titles battling it out for top spot – PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: WWII, a new entrant to the charts hits the top spot. Dragon Ball FighterZ’s first week in the charts comes in at number 4, leaving PUBG and Call of Duty: WWII sitting in between the new releases. What’s interesting though is that FIFA 17 – yes FIFA 17, has returned to the charts at 22. You can check out this weeks charts … Read More »

Dragon Ball FighterZ – Xbox One Review

As someone who knows little about the Dragon Ball Z universe, one has become grateful over the quality of fighting games Bandai Namco have managed to churn out regarding the anime. Dragon Ball Xenoverse was the first fighting game I experienced surrounding the anime/ manga of Dragon Ball Z, and the only reason I wanted to play it (other than it being a fighting game) was the ‘MMO’ aspect of the game, collecting loot and buffing your character – it was an endless, yet fun grind and a brilliant way to keep gamers active. Fast forward a few years and … Read More »
