About: Stephen Loftus

I'm a Dad to my daughter and my dog, a gamer since I was born and a TV nut since I could open my eyes! Like my taste in music, I have a wide variety of genres of games that I play. My preference would have to be RPG though. Gamertag: Stevee

Simulators seem to be all the 'rage' these days. From Farming sims to dating sims and from goat sims to firefighting sims, there's plenty of diversity to choose from, but who would have thought of developing a game where you actually insult real people from around the world? Isn't that just called 'The Internet'? But alas, one is certainly being released this spring for Xbox One and it looks wacky but funny - depending on if you're the giver or receiver of insults! Check out the trailer for You...Sir! The Insult Simulator below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGDTL0Riseg&feature=share Will you be picking up this ... Read More »
It's exciting news for Darksiders fans today, as THQ Nordic announces the highly anticipated sequel to the franchise. Darksiders III is currently in development by Gunfire Games, which is largely comprised of the original development team, Vigil Games. Darksiders II was remastered and released on Xbox One back in 2015, with the original Darksiders having a remastered release towards the end of last year. Lars Wingefors, Co-Founder of THQ Nordic commented on the announcement: As promised, we have taken our time to ensure that this next Darksiders will be everything action-adventure gamers and especially Darksiders loyalists could dream of and ... In this feature article, we have come up with our list of what we think are the best games to spend your £20 pocket money on and we will be counting down to our favourite, providing you with the most bang for your buck. These are purely Xbox One games and based on prices from the digital Microsoft Store. Before we rustle up our top twenty, we will start off with our honourable mentions; titles we really wanted to have in the list but didn't quite make it for one reason or another. Honourable mentions Jackbox Party We couldn't decide ... Read More »
Just by reading the title of the game, you would expect some unusual weirdness going on - never would you expect it to heavily involve Time Travel, but The Sexy Brutale takes traditional 3D puzzle games and flips it on its head...time and time again. The initial starting sequence to this title introduces you to the mechanics of the game and gives you a little 'push' in the right direction to the way you're supposed to approach the puzzles, giving you a unique and interesting way to solve them, not seen in games of this genre before. You begin by ... Read More »
Developed by FrozenByte and published by GameTrust, Has-Been Heroes is quite a strange and random game. It's a weird combination of Rogue-like, RPG and strategical combat. The Has-Been Heroes are a bunch of heroes from the days of yesterday. Now forgotten about until the king sends them all on one final quest: escorting his two daughters to school. You progress through randomly-generated maps. The word 'maps' is used quite loosely in this since you just control the direction the heroes must take next rather than the heroes themselves and this is done via the map in the bottom corner of ... Cities: Skylines first appeared on PC via Steam in 2015, developed by Colossal Order - and what a Colossal of a game this is. First thing you need to know is that this is the exact same game as the PC version, nothing is stripped down. The only thing they've changed is the control scheme and what a hefty feat Tantalus Media had been entrusted with, porting it over to Xbox One. Remarkably, Cities plays well with the Xbox controller, but it still isn't a mouse and keyboard, which these types of games are primarily designed for. The idea of ... Read More »
Ready to take a trip down memory lane to the original Grand Theft Auto game? Rockstar have certainly been inspired by its roots in a new stunt mode coming soon for GTA Online. GTA Online Tiny Racers gives you a new perspective to playing the popular stunt mode in GTA Online. A top-down view, much like that of the original GTA, changes the way you play the game. With weapons to collect to destroy your opponents, this mode is reminiscent of Micro Machines. The new mode is set to release this coming Tuesday 25th April. You can check out the ... Read More »
Film studio Lionsgate and game developers Big Star Games have collaborated on releasing a video game based upon Quentin Tarantino's 1992 cult hit, Reservoir Dogs. Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days sees you taking control of one of the six iconic colour-coded characters and will be playable alone or with a friend via co-op. It seems as though they're taking a unique approach to the isometric shooter, whereby you will be able to rewind time should your characters get into some serious trouble, allowing you to re-think your strategies before proceeding onwards, again. You can check out the trailer for this title ... Read More »
Launched 14 years ago on the first Xbox console, Vodoo Vince was an underrated platform-adventure game that had potential to be a platform mascot for Microsoft, much like Mario is to Nintendo or Crash bandicoot was to PlayStation. You take control of a little Voodoo doll named Vince, after being inadvertently sprinkled with zombie dust due to some thugs breaking into Madame Charmaine's voodoo shop. When Madame Charmaine discovers what has happened, she is knocked out and these thugs kidnap her, and it's up to Vince to hunt them down. With reality splitting and creatures coming back to life as ... Read More »
