Ubisoft have released a tweet today containing some small details regarding the upcoming beta for the next Tom Clancy game: Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ghost recon has come along way from it's early days on Xbox 360, with this title being 'penned' as the best in the series to date with a massively open world where you and several team mates can explore the wildlands, taking down criminals and fighting against other troops. Ubisoft have also released a live action trailer to go along with the recently announced beta registration involving a cat and a red dot. Everybody loves a good cat video, ... Read More »
It's been an exciting year for Mass Effect fans, with plenty of gameplay footage, news and leaks but now rising from the midst of the most recent leaked release date for Mass Effect, Aaryn Flynn; general manager for BioWare has given us a confirmed release date...finally! On behalf of our teams across Montreal, Edmonton and Austin, I’m excited to announce that Mass EffectTM: Andromeda will be launching in North America on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 and beginning Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Europe. We appreciate your patience (and in fact, even your lack of patience in some instances) as we’ve been ... Read More »
Last year seemed like it was the most grim of all years, with so many disasters, shocking outcomes and a ton of celebrity deaths. One in particular is that of Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies, died on 27th December. Soon, Star Wars fans and in particular, those from the gaming community started paying tribute to the actress. A producer from Elite: Dangerous has recently posted on the official forums; responding to the communities requests for a tribute to be made to the late actress: Sad news indeed - a 'Fisher's Rest' outpost will be added to ... Square Enix seem to be going above and beyond, supporting it's single player title; Final Fantasy XV, by announcing it's plans to include multiplayer content and special events. However, a poster over at 4Chan; who claims to have been an employee for Square Enix during some of Final Fantasy XV's development, has said that a lot of content was cut from it's original vision of 'Versus XIII' but they plan on releasing more content, depending on how well-received the planned DLC goes down. Some of this 'possible' content includes being able to play through stories of supporting characters such as Iris or Cindy. We already ... Read More »
The new year is almost upon us, which means the countdown will begin 'til the release of BioWare's next anticipated Mass Effect title, with only 3 months to wait. Mass Effect: Andromeda is published by EA, which means that EA Access subscribers will most likely get the chance to play it early; as is always the case with EA's titles. However, this time it'll be in the form of an actual demo rather than a time-limited trial. Either way, this is good news for Microsoft, as Xbox players will be able to experience these rich new worlds and boast about them before PS4 ... Read More »
It's that time of year again. No not Christmas. Well of course we get the jolly fat man getting stuck in countless chimneys year after year, but it's also the time for the first DLC announcement for the year's iteration of Call of Duty. Activision have recently announced that the first DLC pack for Infinite Warfare will be titled Sabotage. The DLC adds, as always, a new zombie map; this time moving up an era with it's 90's themed with a rave taking place in the woods simply titled: Rave in the Redwoods. Along with the zombie map is 4 ... Read More »
Warner Brothers Montreal was rumoured to have been working on a Suicide Squad game to tie-in with the movie but this has recently been announced as a cancelled project in order to focus on another Batman game featuring Damian Wayne. Apparently, WB Montreal had been working on the Suicide Squad title for two years, hoping to release it alongside the movie but nothing had ever been confirmed, although their last game Batman: Arkham Origins hinted at the possibility alongside Blackgate Origins, which also teased Suicide Squad was next on the agenda. The cancellation could be due to a rocky path that WB has ... Read More »
Recently, Treyarch posted a livestream on facebook discussing it's plans for Black Ops 3. Yes, that's right, plans for Black Ops 3, which was released back in November 2015. It's no surprise that Infinite Warfare has been poorly received and sales have fallen dramatically behind that of Black Ops 3; which Activision claim to be the best selling Call of Duty title on current generation consoles. It makes complete sense to continue support for a game that has the most active players, which is why Dan Bunting, head of the studio has announced it plans to continue support for the community ... Today marks the 300th* title to be added to the ever-growing list of Backwards Compatibility title. And what better way to celebrate with a collection (of sorts) as the long-overdue Bioshock titles get the Backwards Compatible treatment, as confirmed by Major Nelson himself via twitter. That's Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite to arrive today, after being teased a long time ago. https://twitter.com/majornelson/status/808718241619120128 As of recent times, Major Nelson seemed to be announcing them every Thursday, so it could mean we still might see some more Xbox 360 titles being released this week, or it could simply mean "Merry Christmas, that's your ...
