Since the launch of The Division earlier this year, Ubisoft have tackled a range of glitches. Patch 1.4, released this past week has aimed to address the majority of players concerns. However it appears the update has caused the voice chat function to lag and stutter. Ubisoft have been swift to move to address the issue, although they have stated that whilst they work swiftly to make the fix, voice chat will be disabled. Can you believe, Halo 5: Guardians is already celebrating its first anniversary! However it appears Microsoft is set to continue supporting the game for the foreseeable future with further DLC. Since the games release, there has been a total of nine free updates that have included fifteen maps, an abundance of REQ items and six new game modes to name a few. Gears of War 4 players are about to get two new maps as part of the first release for the season pass. Releasing on November 1st, this will form the first part of program that will see two new maps every month, for the next year. The first map, titled ‘Checkout’, is the first legacy map.  You will return to Cole’s hometown 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3, where you notice that nature has drastically started to reclaim vast amounts of the area after the Locust Wars. After a decade in production, it has been announced that the next long awaited installment in the Final Fantasy series has gone gold. Final Fantasy XV, which started life as a spin off title was first announced in 2006. The team have not only tweeted that it is now in disc production, but have also given details on DLC and online multiplayer. Microsoft have announced that the Xbox One S will be adding 3D surround sound to it’s growing list of features. The news was revealed at a press event in New York, where it was confirmed that Dolby Atmos and bitstreaming will be supported for games, movies and TV shows on the system. As well as this, it was revealed that DTS:X and Auro-3D will also become supported features. This past week saw the release of patch 1.4 for The Division but the developers are already talking about how they aim to improve upon this. The team took to twitch to stream a weekly round up of the current state of the game. During this round up, developers touched on PvP, expansion of the stash system and the balancing of weapons. UPDATE: It appears, thanks to some handy NeoGaf users, that Borderlands is available as this weekend’s Free Play Days title. This is a promotion that Microsoft run every now and again when there’s some kind of sale on. The last one was Overwatch, but the program has also included Rainbow Six: Siege and Halo 5: Guardians. Usually, this promotion is limited to Gold members, but apparently Silver members have been able to download Borderlands too (thanks, Eurogamer), so perhaps there’s more to this story. It has long been the practice for media outlets to receive new titles for review prior to launch. Magazines and websites frequently receive copies to have a review ready by release. However it appears Bethesda has now put a hold to this for their titles. A statement published within the company blog by Bethesda’s global content leader, Gary Steinman, stated that after supplying copies of DOOM a day before release, it has been decided to alter company policy to only allow games to be distributed to media outlets a day in advance for future titles. Electronic Arts have released the Official Launch Trailer for Titanfall 2, the sequel to 2014’s hit FPS online shooter. The trailer focuses on how you, the pilot and your titan, need to ‘become one’ in the battle for survival. Showcasing a range of new weapons and titans themselves, Titanfall 2 will feature a full single player campaign for the first time. This will be accompanied with a range of expected multiplayer modes including Bounty Hunt, Pilots vs Pilots and Amped Hardpoint.
