The latest best sellers, as by Amazon's list of orders is now updated for the week just past. And after a flurry of pre-orders soaring Destiny 2 to the top of the pile last week, normal service has resumed. Mass Effect Andromeda fails to make movement on two titles that have dominated the last few weeks. Ghost Recon: Wildlands returns to the number one slot whilst Lego Worlds continues to follow in its footsteps in second. Sounding like a broken record, GTA V continues to sit in the top ten taking seventh place. A trend that might not fall away till Red ... Read More »
This weeks new releases list is here to ease your Monday morning pain. And the big hitter of the week is without a doubt a platforming throwback and homage to the yesteryear. That's not all though, check out the latest titles below: 11/04/2017 Yooka-Laylee Yooka-Laylee is an all-new open-world platformer from genre veterans Playtonic! Explore huge, beautiful worlds, meet (and beat) an unforgettable cast of characters and horde a vault-load of shiny collectibles as buddy-duo Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the big nose) embark on an epic adventure to thwart corporate creep Capital B and his ... Every so often a game comes along and blends a variety of genres together in a unique way. And that is exactly what THQ Nordic have done with This Is The Police. Part strategy, part simulator, part tycoon yet with a well-constructed story to back it up. However, blending genres is a dangerous ground which can lead to disaster if incorrectly executed. You’ve spent your whole career in the Police Department. And now, a mere 180 days away from your retirement, you realise you need a nice little pot of money, to the sum of half a million dollars, to ... Read More »
The point and click genre has seen somewhat of a resurrection from the grave in recent years. With the 90’s delivering defining titles such as Discworld and The Secret of Monkey Island, the years after brought somewhat of a point and click drought. However, with this decade seeing the indie scene and smaller developers rise strong through both Steam and consoles, with it has brought some excellent, charming titles. And The Inner World from Head Up Games falls into both these categories. Set in what is best described as a world deep within another, you take on the role of ... Read More »

After months of waiting, and the promise of a Spring release. The upcoming city construction simulator, Cities: Skylines finally has a release date. Paradox Interactive will be bringing the game which has been on PC for two years already, to Xbox One owners on April 21st. Tantalus Media have optimised play specifically for the controller, which will hopefully alienate those fears of how a keyboard and mouse game will transfer to console. The Xbox One Edition and Windows 10 Edition include the award-winning base game, bundled together with the popular After Dark expansion, allowing players to plan and design for their ... Read More »
What a difference a week makes for the Amazon best sellers list. With previous weeks seeing Mass Effect Andromeda taking top spot, and on pre-orders alone. The latest entry in the series has been toppled after one week by Ghost Recon: Wildlands. The hype train to Destiny 2 has officially begun. The title is taking up two spots within the top ten on pre-orders. And a resurgence for Destiny the Collection sees the original soar up to ninth. Not a week goes by where we don't mention GTA V in the top ten. There's also notable mentions for Steep and ... Read More »
We're just over a quarter of the way into 2017 already. And with it so far has brought some excellent titles. Resident Evil VII, Halo Wars 2, Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Mass Effect: Andromeda have all graced us with their presence. Coupled with a slew of indie titles it's safe to say this years releases so far have not been bad at all. But enough of the past, and whilst there's a lot to look forward to in the future, it's all about the present. Whilst this week only sees a handful of releases, you may want to check them ... It’s been over three months since the release of the first two episodes of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. Our review of the opening double bill rated the third season as having a positive return. This leaves the next episode, ‘Above the Law’, with a fast pace to maintain, whilst satisfying a cliff-hanger ending for fans of episode two. This review will remain largely spoiler free, and not touch on story specifics. So fear not if you have yet to dive into the series. Picking up with the plot twist from the last episode, Javier is seen to have ... Read More »
