Super Bomb Rush from Curvature Systems, LLC has arrived on Xbox One, but unfortunately for us here in the UK, it's currently only released in America...for now. We will have to wait and see if this title releases on our shores but for now, check out the review below. It's a loud, brash affair with retro stylings and loud dance music. The game presents users with a series of bombs that need to be defused before they explode - the player does this by entering a sequence using the D-pad that has to match the one displayed on screen. Simple ... Read More »
In news that will fail to surprise anyone who was paying attention to the launch of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at the tail end of last year, Activision and Infinity Ward have today confirmed that the remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be receiving a standalone release - and it will be happening on 27th June 2017. You can watch the trailer below. https://youtu.be/frcic8ApwJ0 However, if you watch the trailer you'll notice a few pieces of information that are almost conspicuous in their absence - there's no Xbox One box art, no Xbox logo visible on ... When Phil Spencer announced that Xbox 360 games would be made backward compatible on the Xbox One at E3 in 2015, Xbox fans everywhere rejoiced. The desire to replay some of the older Call of Duty and Gears of War games had been voiced loudly and seemingly everywhere - from the internet to the canteen of my office. Microsoft had listened, and made it possible. From the start, the backwards compatible status of some games was all but assured - games that were still having sequels produced were obvious choices for the programme, as were those published by companies that ... In a tweet this afternoon, IO Interactive have announced that they are now independent, and that they still own the IP rights for their popular Hitman series: https://twitter.com/IOInteractive/status/875684213231689731 Following an announcement by Square Enix  back in May, the future of the studio looked bleak for a while. Passionate fans of the studio, and especially their popular Hitman franchise, feared the worst. However, the announcement today appears to bring a positive ending to the saga. In a statement posted on the IO Interactive website, CEO Hakan Abrak said: In its 19 years of history, Io-Interactive has brought you original and exciting ... Read More »
Kholat, developed by the Polish development team IMGN.PRO first launched on PC in 2015, and is now available for the first time on the Xbox One. The game is based on a real world event involving the unexplained deaths of 9 skiers in the Ural Mountains in 1959. Despite extensive investigations at the time, no concrete reason for their deaths was ever found. Their tent had been cut open from the inside out, and they'd fled sparsely dressed and barefoot into the wilderness. When their bodies were found, several of the victims had suffered internal injuries, but displayed no physical ... Read More »

During Microsoft's E3 presentation on Sunday night, Bioware revealed the first gameplay trailer for its new IP: Anthem - and it looks pretty impressive. The 7 minute gameplay trailer is below - and it's definitely worth a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL5GSfs9fi4 Anthem is set in a sci-fi future, where humanity is cowering behind a massive wall that "protects them from what lies beyond." Players take on the role of Freelancers, and are equipped with a collection of exo suits called Javelins that they use to wage war outside the walls.
