I was going to update this to say that I had recovered from my Destiny addiction. Unfortunately Rise of Iron has since happened so yeah.....

The scheduled update for Rock Band 4, that was due to arrive in January, has been pushed back a week and is now officially the titles February update. There was bug discovered late in the patch that caused the delay but to the credit of Harmonix they have been forthcoming with this information, specifically in their blog which can be found here, and not made excuses for themselves. When the update does eventually arrive it will fix score exploits, allow leaderboard postings for Play a Show mode, and improve audio quality. The February update will also launch Rock Band 4's new Psychonauts ... Read More »
The much anticipated Tom Clancy's The Division is scheduled to have it's BETA released next week. Whilst that in itself is exciting news, what's even more exciting is the BETA can be downloaded 48 hours ahead of time (confirmed by the game's official French Facebook) meaning you don't eat into precious BETA hours waiting for a download to finish. With the BETA scheduled to go live on the 28th of January for the Xbox One it's safe to assume that the pre-download will be available as early as next Tuesday (26th), and while we're on the subject of safe assumptions ... To date, millions of Xbox gamers around the world have logged more than 21 million hours playing Xbox One Backward Compatibility games. Today more titles are being added to that list and to say the selection could be seen as underwhelming is an understatement. The new list of games includes: Aegis Wing Age of Booty Counter-Strike: GO Jeremy McGrath's Offroad Sam & Max Save the World Skullgirls Small Arms Soulcalibur Space Giraffe The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings   That's right, ten titles, every last one of them an arcade game with the exception of The Witcher 2. Definitely not the ... Read More »
Yes I know it's a UbiSoft game and they have a less than stellar track record when it comes to their recent games and their running capabilities on Xbox One (Assassin's Creed Unity anyone?). However Ubisoft Massive’s creative director Magnus Jansen is confident that The Division will look, and feel, the part across all platforms, including Xbox One. In a recent interview Jansen stated "“With the SnowDrop Engine, we are able to get the max out of any platform” he went on to add “And for us, it’s a matter of pride, to be able to support everyone who invests money and ... So recently an image (which can be seen below) has surfaced on our friend, the internet, of Bungie game designer Lars Bakken playing a new game mode called Crimson Doubles in a private test build, which as the name suggests is usually used to test new game modes before their release to the general public. Now what this game mode could be and what it will feature is anyone's guess, and please be my guest to speculate and drop your thoughts in the comments for me to ponder. Something that will be worth bearing in mind when giving thought to this ... Read More »
So with the EA Access Free Play days going live today (see our article here) it seems only fitting that the internet be rife with speculation over what the next EA Access Vault title could be. At present the general population of the internet seems to be leaning heavily towards that next title being Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, and with good reason. The image below is being used to promote EA Access Free Play Days on the official Xbox website (see here). Now whilst this may seem like something and nothing, a site with the stature of Xbox.com could well ... Read More »
Following the successful launch of their Game Capture HD60 Pro in September, the Gaming Chat Link in November and most recently Game Capture 3.0 in December, Elgato Gaming have done it again. This time it's the turn of Elgato Sound Capture. The Windows based programme was released in it's BETA stage on January 15th of this year. Rather than me harp on about a programme that I've not yet used myself I'll let you read Elgato's own comments on their newest release below.   What is Elgato Sound Capture? Sound Capture is a program that gives you more options for ... Read More »
That's right, one of the features of The Division that had a lot of people excited, and made it not like Destiny, has been dropped. That being the ability for players to trade with and sell to each other in game. Associate creative director Julian Gerighty cited the reason for the feature being dropped was due to the "priority of different features" going on to add "It’s the reality of production. Some features make it, some features don’t." With this and the news that the map isn't going to be as big as initially expected (as reported here) it seems ... Read More »
