A mysterious figure streaks across a starry sky, punching through the atmosphere of a dark and foreboding planet. It's a stunningly cinematic moment, and caught me completely by surprise, but from the moment you start a new game, The Fall feels like it punches above its weight. A side scrolling sci-fi adventure, it melds tense exploration of an alien world with devious puzzles and occasional action sequences, all tied together by a genuinely interesting and original story. Players take on the role of ARID an artificial intelligence embedded in a combat suit, intended for use by a human pilot. As ... Read More »
MotoGP 15 Review So, I was a little excited about this release and, to be fair, MotoGP 15 was everything that I was expecting! Right from the start of the game the intro was mind Blowing! It really sets you up for the challenge ahead. Back in the good old days when the original Xbox was still in its honeymoon stages, THQ released MotoGP 2, one of the greatest MotoGP games, I believe. It had the masses competing at the highest level and I was lucky to be playing MotoGP back then. With that in mind, I was really hoping ... Read More »
The Elder Scrolls Online Review The Elder Scrolls Online has a gigantic task on its hands living up to Skyrim, one of the greatest and most liberating adventures gaming has to offer. Comparing the latest entry in the series to its offline predecessor is only natural, and while it doesn't provide the same calibre of solo experience, developer ZeniMax Online have delivered a solid online role playing game and a worthy new chapter in this epic saga. Elder Scrolls Online doesn't lacks the visual richness of Skyrim and Oblivion before it, but what I can say is Bethesda has clearly worked ... Read More »
SteamWorld Dig Review On paper, SteamWorld Dig sounds like the most mind numbing slog that you could possibly imagine. The object of the game is to dig, exchange the minerals you unearth for better equipment, then dig some more. And when you think you've dug deep enough, you start punching the rocks and pick up the pace....its a little gem in disguise. The cornerstone of many popular games is the repetition of seemingly mundane tasks with the goal of discovering ever more efficient ways to accomplish these tasks. First, you might meet a few characters in game who welcome you with ... Read More »
Sparkle Unleashed Review Sparkle Unleashed is a brand new marble shooter game from developer 10tons. If this is your first time hearing about 10tons, then you probably don’t know that they’ve made quite a few Sparkle games in the past, all very successful marble shooters as well. Marble shooters are basically just a different style of match 3 game where marbles are pushed along a path until they get to the end. It’s your job to shoot marbles of same colour at the chain and match them in order to have them disappear off the tracks before they reach the ... Read More »
Bandland Review Badland could be described as a physics based sidescroller, but I find that it doesn't really fit neatly into any one genre. At times is feels like an endless runner, but at others it's almost a platformer. What it comes down to is that you move your little animal by flapping its equally tiny wings and drift up into the air. That's the extent of the controls in Badland. The longer you press, the higher the fluffball bird will fly and the farther to the right it will go. Simple! The first few levels are easy. You'll get ... Read More »
