Destiny: King’s Fall Challenge Mode Coming in December

Just when you Guardians out there thought you couldn’t get enough of King’s Fall, Bungie are dropping some challenges in early December to entice you back into the depths of the Dreadnaught. These challenges will change every week, and will ask you to defeat one of the bosses such as the Warpriest, Golgoroth or even Oryx himself, but with a twist. While no details have come about as of yet about what those twists could be, Lead Raid Designer Gavin Irby has said this much: “Each boss’s challenge requires that you defeat them in a very specific manner,” Irby said, without … Read More »

EA Talks Star Wars Battlefront DLC and Help From Disney

I think it’s fair to say that Star Wars Battlefront has been a success. I mean, how could it not be? With the film merely weeks away, the world is in the grip of Star Wars fever. At a recent USB Global Tech Conference, Chief Financial Officer of EA Blake Jorgensen talked about how EA are trying to engage users once the fever dissipates: “How do we engage consumers as long as possible? The old days, people played Madden for a few months and then they stopped playing. When the Super Bowl finished, they were completely gone. Today with Ultimate … Read More »

It looks like WWE 2K has an indie competitor entering the ring in 2016… Straight from the streets of Glasgow, Scotland, it’s ICW: Fear and Loathing – The Game! For the unaware, of which I imagine there are many, Insane Championship Wrestling is an indie wrestling promotion from Scotland whose roster boasts an impressive mix of up-and-comers like Grado (IT’S YER SEL!) and former WWE guys like Drew Galloway (Drew McIntyre in WWE), Rhyno, Sabu and even Mick Foley as a guest commissioner. Even NXT guys like Finn Balor have been in an ICW ring. Little has been revealed about … Read More »

After 2 successful Kickstarter campaigns, Anima Project Studio have released a Prelude trailer for their upcoming action RPG, Anima: Gate of Memories. In the works since 2012, Anima Project Studio are close to entering the final development phase for the game, and have released this trailer to whet our appetites. For the uninitiated, Anima started life as a Spanish tabletop RPG by the name of Anima: Beyond Fantasy in 2005. Since then, it has been expanding as a transmedia franchise, with card games, a downloadable WiiWare title named Anima: Ark of Sinners and a novel said to be in the … Read More »

WWE 2K16 Review

Let’s all be honest with ourselves; WWE 2K15 was less WrestleMania, more BotchaMania. An unmitigated disaster akin to Batista’s 2014 return. Or the Gobblede Gooker. Or Hornswoggle being Vince’s illegitimate son. With a diminished roster and lack of match types, a poor MyCareer Mode and the omission of plenty of creation tools left gamers feeling alienated and robbed. It was actually just like being a wrestling fan. Surely then, WWE 2K16 is better than the previous installment? Of course it is, the question is how much better? Let’s start with the positives, shall we? After last year, it’s great to … Read More »
