You might not be able to actually build a city on rock and roll, despite what Starship ever said, but this Spring you'll be able to construct your own cities of virtual bricks and mortar when Cities: Skylines arrives on Xbox One. An exact release date is unknown for Paradox Interactive's city construction simulator, but the game has been available on PC for almost two years, so fingers crossed that it'll be worth the wait. The new trailer, which you can find below, also points to the game shipping with the After Dark expansion pack, which saw the addition of ... Read More »

In some unfortunate news for fans of either the series or turn based RPGs, South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed even further, with a release window pointing to the end of March NEXT YEAR at worst. Ubisoft have stated that the anticipated sequel to South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released at some point during their next fiscal year, which covers April 2017 to March 2018. Hopefully, we'll see it sooner rather than later. Originally slated to be released on December 6th 2016, the game was pushed back to Q1 2017 as the developers wanted ... Read More »

No one paid the backwater Florida town of Cyprus Knee any attention. At least, not until has-been actor Tag Kern is found wearing a fetching rope necklace on the town's water tower. Now Cyprus Knee is playing host to religious fanatics, movie studios, shady politicians and more. If Knee Deep, the latest game from Wales Interactive and Prologue Games, sounds like the plot to a weird stage show, that's because it is. Knee Deep’s premise involves a theatrical production acting out a classic “whodunnit”. You act as the director controlling one of three protagonists; popular blogger Romana Teague, newspaper reporter Jack ... Read More »

Here's a bit of a blast from my childhood: arcade racing series and unofficial driver mutilation simulator Flatout is getting resurrected for Xbox One, and it's coming in March. Titled Flatout 4: Total Insanity and developed by the Paris based studio Kylotonn Racing Games, who are responsible for WRC 5 and 6, this release will combine "classic fan-favourite features and modes with all new gameplay modes". Whether it'll be an improvement over the critically panned PC release Flatout 3 remains to be seen. The trailer, which you can watch below, certainly seems to suggest a return to the success of ...
