The beta will run from 1pm on the 18th until 1pm on the 21st March, so you’ve got an entire weekend to take on the game’s tracks, and even make some of your own, before we meet on the starting grid on the 24th March. WWE Brawl – What Could Have Been

Wrestling is a bit silly, isn’t it? Ridiculously over-the-top characters hitting each other with ridiculous, over-the-top moves. It’s awesome! And nothing captured that attitude better than WWE All-Stars, which exaggerated each of the wrestler’s key features to caricature levels. Hogan’s 24 inch pythons become 24 foot anacondas, Andre the Giant had hands as big as Rey Mysterio and no special move was complete without at least 2 flips around the ring. So imagine my elation and immediate disappointment once WWE.com ran an article about the cancelled WWE Brawl, the third game in a strategy by the now defunct THQ to … Read More »

Making a Case for… Roundabout

Roundabout is an odd game. So much so, that defining it as something conceivable is a bit of a struggle. You could say that it’s technically a driving game, by virtue of the fact that you operate an automotive vehicle; the vehicle in question here being a constantly revolving limo that you use to pick up and drop off clients. However, that would be like classifying Telltale’s The Walking Dead as just a zombie game… You’d be missing the point. If anything, it’s much more akin to a puzzle game, specifically Kuru Kuru Kururin, which was released back in 2001 … Read More »

This Week at Bungie – 11/03/2016

It’s been common knowledge that Bungie are prepping for a large Destiny announcement in the coming weeks, but it’s certainly not this week; we’re stuck in a holding pattern until then. DeeJ has took to Bungie.net to address fans once again on the latest developments regarding Destiny, and unless you like Twitch streams, there is little of note this week. However, here are a few highlights: Due to the recent Twitch stream with the audio team, Destiny’s soundtrack is now on sale via the Bungie store, if you like that sort of thing. The Bungie team will be taking on … Read More »

Killer Instinct Leak Points To A New Guest And More

Some news might have emerged from the fine folks at Iron Galaxy, working on Killer Instinct Season 3, and it could be huge. Pinches of salt at the ready, though! According to reddit, some of the content coming to Season 3 might have been leaked prematurely, and it pertains to two of the 4 unrevealed characters and a new mode, one of those characters being General RAAM. Firstly, the new mode. Apparently, it’s called Shadow Lord, and from the picture that made it’s way to imgur, it looks like the weirdest cross between Killer Instinct and X-COM. Your guess is … Read More »
