Blackwood Crossing is a tale of love and loss; the story of two siblings, Scarlett and Finn, coping with various tragedies that have befallen them. It's also about walking slowly through a train repeatedly to solve puzzles. Take a guess at which is more engaging. Blackwood Crossing is the latest in a long line of “walking simulators”; brief first person narrative experiences that consist of you progressing through linear environments and interacting with a few objects. They’re not for everyone as they rely on the story and dialogue to hold your attention rather than actual gameplay. It's just as well, ... Read More »
Bulletstorm has the distinction of being somewhat of a “cult classic” shooter, despite only being 6 years old. When the original game dropped on the Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2011, it received plenty of praise from critics, but fell under the radar of the mainstream gaming audience. Whether it was an issue of poor advertising or a less than ideal release window, Bulletstorm didn't reach the sales target intended by EA and People Can Fly. It was a huge shame, since Bulletstorm offered bags of personality and a combat system with enough depth to separate it from the rest ... Read More »

Theories about this one on a postcard, please! Bandai Namco Entertainment uploaded a new trailer to their YouTube channel without any build-up or context, simply titled "New Project". The trailer, which you can watch for yourself below, shows what appears to be a vampire lady, some demonic foes and an epic stare-down with a giant monster. Oh, and the art direction looks tremendous, being heavily influenced by anime. The accompanying #PrepareToDine appears to suggest some kind of vampiric take on the Dark Souls series of games, which Bandai Namco help produce. Of course, it could just as easily be a ... You might be disappointed to learn that Punch Club isn't about a group of really enthusiastic fruit juice connoisseurs. No, it's actually about the less popular activity of men pursuing the pleasures of pugilism. After witnessing the brutal murder of your father, you embark on the path of the warrior to avenge your father’s death, become a vigilante, beat up ninja crocodiles in a sewer, be a champion and maybe even learn a thing or two about love. Punch Club is a difficult game to pin down. It's a game about fighting where you don't actually fight. Instead, you manage ... Read More »
With the recent release of Battlefield 1 expansion They Shall Not Pass, DICE and EA are pressing the advantage, laying out a detailed road map of where they plan on taking the game over the coming months. Yes, yes, everyone is hyped about the Scorpio reveal, but let's not forget about the games coming out between now and the end of the year. Games like Injustice 2. The latest trailer in the Shattered Alliances series follows on from last week's "It's Good To Be Bad" trailer, detailing how the villains are trying to seize power in the wake of the Regime's downfall. Whilst we don't get a look at any new characters, we do get a bunch of unseen story cutscenes showing various members of the Society, like Gorilla Grodd, Bane, Captain Cold, Deadshot, Catwoman and more ...
