We're closing in fast on the first birthday for one of 2016's greatest games, Overwatch, and Blizzard Entertainment are celebrating in style. So far Blizzard have announced that on May 23rd, three new arena maps will be available to all players. These maps are themed on current maps Eichenwalde, Temple of Anubis and Dorado. If you're wondering what type of map is an "arena" map, think Ecopoint; Antarctica. These new maps will likely be added to the rotation of playlists like 3v3 Elimination, though if you play that mode, you have serious problems. Check out the tweet from the official ... Read More »
Black and White Bushido is a 4 player 2-D platforming “stealth ‘em up”, according to the developers Good Catch, which is the most accurate description for B&WB. Other suggestions from us include “4 player dash ‘n’ slash”, and “one screen of monochrome mutilation”... Perhaps “stealth ‘em up” is better. You control a warrior of light or shadow, hiding in specific sections of the map waiting to strike. These sections will change every so often to ensure no players camp in the same spot for the whole game. The game itself is a single screen 2-D platformer with wall jumps, double ... Read More »
Human: Fall Flat is a physics based puzzle platformer all about a human falling flat. A lot. More than pretty much any other game. Whether it be tripping off of ledges or as a result of being smacked around, needless to say, you'll be doing a lot of falling. Each level challenges players to find creative solutions to progress through the area using the objects around you, the laws of physics and a bit of initiative. The left and right trigger controls your left and right hand respectively, allowing you to grab onto objects in the environment. Initially, you'll be ... Read More »
In news sure to depress many a gaming fan across the world, Konami have confirmed that Metal Gear Survive is still on the cards and slated for a 2017 release. In Konami's latest financial report, Metal Gear Survive is still listed as coming out in 2017. If that's the case, you can probably expect a big gameplay reveal for the game at this year's E3. Despite series visionary Hideo Kojima departing from Konami around the release of MGS V: The Phantom Pain, many fans were left angry, confused and even betrayed by this use of the license. A 4 player ... Read More »
Players of Elder Scrolls Online have a lot to look forward to on June 6th, as the Morrowind expansion will be released for all players. To build up momentum for the hype train, Bethesda have released a trailer detailing the Morag Tong, Vvardenfell's resident league of assassins. A literal group of cut-throats, you might say. The assassins are hired by Hlaalu, Redoran, and Telvanni: the Great Houses of Morrowind, and already this is too many names to mispronounce. If you're going to be adventuring in Morrowind, it's inevitable that you'll become embroiled with this world of political espionage. If you're interested ... Read More »
“The Easiest Mode is Hard”, Butcher boldly exclaims in its intro; a statement almost immediately discredited by the casual difficulty setting. Two minutes in and we're already being lied to. But to play on casual is to defeat the purpose of Butcher. Declaring casual mode as the difficulty for people who cry when they suck at games, Butcher goads players into taking on the harder difficulties by challenging your masculinity or pride. You're not a pansy now, are you? Described as a 2-D shoot ‘em up tribute to Doom, the similarities between both games are clear. Playing as a one-cyborg army ... Read More »

Bluehole Studios has made waves in the gaming community recently with their Steam Early Access title PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, a title that pits 100 players against each other in a desperate bid for survival. With over 2 million copies sold worldwide, Bluehole are now looking to expand their already considerable dominion into the console market. In an interview with Business Insider, creative director Brendan Greene said that they're exploring the possibility: "We have a team working already on looking to port it to at least the Xbox [One]. We're looking at both consoles of course, but we have no time frame ... Read More »
