When I first booted up Sine Mora EX, all I expected was some solid shoot ‘em up action, and I got that. What I wasn't expecting was a story concerned with blackmail, rape and genocide. There's a time and a place for narratives like that, and perhaps a side scrolling shooter isn't one of them. Sine Mora EX is the re-release of a little known shoot ‘em up from the previous generation that many might have missed out on, myself included. It's a fairly typical shoot ‘em up for the most part; defeat a few waves of enemies before tackling ... Read More »
Bad news for anyone hoping to throw cars at gangbangers and collect agility orbs this Christmas, as Microsoft have announced that Crackdown 3 will be delayed until Spring 2018. Crackdown 3, which is being developed by Reagent Games, Sumo Digital and Cloudgine, was originally intended to be released in the second half of 2016, so what's another delay between friends, eh? After E3 though, most agreed that the game could still use a bit more work, especially in the graphical department. It looked rough. When speaking to Polygon, Microsoft Publishing Studios General Manager Shannon Loftis said the following: "We want ... Read More »
Capcom have announced that their upcoming re-release of the fantasy RPG Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will be available on Xbox One from October 3rd. The game first launched back in 2012 on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 to generally positive reviews. Its Pawn system was quite interesting, as you made a second character who would both serve as an additional party member and could be loaned out to other players, earning experience and the like on their travels. This re-release will consist of the same content as the Dark Arisen PC port from last year, which included the base ... Read More »
Hey guys, do you like SMITE? Do you like card based tactics games? Don't you wish the two of them would come together in holy matrimony/unholy alchemy? Bethesda have announced that the popular post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout 4 is getting a Game of the Year edition, which is perfect for our current pre-nuclear apocalypse world. Time to practice nailing headshots on bandits and running away from Deathclaws. This version will launch on 26th September 2017 and, like all good Game of the Year editions, will include all previous DLC releases. This includes Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Far Harbor, Contraptions Workshop, Vault-Tec Workshop and Nuka-World. Also, there'll be another limited run of Pip-Boy Special Editions to coincide with the Game of the Year release. The bad news is that it'll ... Read More »
The measure of an Xbox Gamer can usually be determined by the size of their gamerscore, at least for the most part. The system doesn't take into account those players who like the focus on one or a handful of games, but that could be changing soon. In an interview with YouTuber Rand al Thor 19 and Windows Central Senior Editor Jez Corden, Xbox Platform Corporate Vice President Mike Ybarra had a bunch of things to say about the future of the Xbox brand, and where the achievements system could be going in the future: "[W]e can do a lot ... The start of this month saw the much anticipated inclusion of Titanfall 2 in the EA Access Vault, but it would seem that August isn't quite finished depositing games to the Vault. Gamespot have reported that Battlefield 1 is now available in The Vault as part of an EA Access membership after seeing a thread on NeoGAF. We've also checked just to be sure, and can confirm that the game is ready to play right now. What's interesting about this is that there has been no word from EA as of yet regarding this. Last month, they did say that ... Read More »
