The start of this month saw the much anticipated inclusion of Titanfall 2 in the EA Access Vault, but it would seem that August isn't quite finished depositing games to the Vault. Gamespot have reported that Battlefield 1 is now available in The Vault as part of an EA Access membership after seeing a thread on NeoGAF. We've also checked just to be sure, and can confirm that the game is ready to play right now. What's interesting about this is that there has been no word from EA as of yet regarding this. Last month, they did say that ... Read More »

You all know the drill by now. It's like clockwork. 5pm on Thursday, Major Nelson tweets out the newest additions to the backwards compatibility roster, then people moan that it's not "X" in the comments. You could bet your house on that schedule. Today, the following has been announced: Disney Epic Mickey 2 & Sega Vintage Collection: ToeJam & Earl are coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today https://t.co/qPMRNrLoTQpic.twitter.com/MiZCsi3ZTM — 💬 Larry Hryb (@majornelson) August 3, 2017 If you're looking for a platforming adventure to keep the tykes occupied, Epic Mickey 2 should fill that void, whereas Toejam and Earl ... For fans of first person puzzle games in a similar vein as Portal, Q.U.B.E was a delightful little game with interesting puzzles and a story that kept you guessing until the very end. Now Toxic Games have revealed a new teaser trailer for the long-awaited sequel, Q.U.B.E 2, and it looks to give players a lot more of what they enjoyed in the previous game: difficult but engaging block puzzles. If it's not broke, don't fix it. The original Q.U.B.E saw players take on the role of an astronaut who infiltrated a cube shaped alien vessel on a collision course with ... Read More »
Community Test Environments, or whatever synonym that developers decide to use for their game, are a staple of PC gaming, giving players the chance to test out upcoming patches and features, whilst giving the dev team a chance to eliminate bugs before the update is released upon the masses. EA have announced that Battlefield 1's Community Test Server will be coming to the Xbox One, allowing console players to test upcoming features in the same way that PC players can, whilst also providing feedback to DICE so they can keep improving the game. You can register via the Battlefield 1 ... Read More »
In a bizarre turn of events, Electronic Arts have announced that they plan to remove FIFA 14 from the EA Access Vault on October 18th 2017, the same date that online service for the game will be discontinued. In an official statement from EA, they have cited a "unique circumstance" as the reason why this game will be removed, but haven't gone into details. A spokesman gave the following statement to GameSpot: "FIFA 14 is being removed from the Vault due to a unique circumstance specific to the title. It does not indicate a change in our priorities for the ... Read More »
There are three things certain in life: death, taxes, and mini golf is awesome. It's all the skill and precision of real golf but without the god awful clothing and the inherent snobbery that surrounds a clubhouse. Who cares about etiquette when you can have a few drinks, play a few holes and enjoy yourself? This has been a party political broadcast paid for by The Mini Golf For All Foundation. Joking aside, mini golf is an enjoyable activity for all ages, and one that appears to be making a resurgence in the gaming world. The last DLC for Dead ... Read More »
Often being referred to as Netflix for gamers, Xbox Game Pass gives players unlimited access to hundreds of games for the price of a fairly reasonable subscription. It's perfect for new and existing Xbox players looking to give their gaming library an immediate shot in the arm.
