Here's a bit of a blast from my childhood: arcade racing series and unofficial driver mutilation simulator Flatout is getting resurrected for Xbox One, and it's coming in March. Titled Flatout 4: Total Insanity and developed by the Paris based studio Kylotonn Racing Games, who are responsible for WRC 5 and 6, this release will combine "classic fan-favourite features and modes with all new gameplay modes". Whether it'll be an improvement over the critically panned PC release Flatout 3 remains to be seen. The trailer, which you can watch below, certainly seems to suggest a return to the success of ... We're just two months away from the next instalment of one of the most popular sci-fi games of the last generation, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Bioware have dropped a fresh trailer showing off more of the space faring storyline. The trailer gives us more insight into main character Ryder's role as a Pathfinder, along with introducing some more of your squadmates and locales. The good news is that "we have a Krogan". The bad news is that it isn't Wrex. I loved that guy. We also get more of a look at main antagonist The Archon, a dangerous individual intent ... Read More »
Here's some unexpected but fantastic news: Square Enix have announced a partnership with the comic book and movie publishing Juggernaut (geddit?) to create multiple games, starting with an Avengers game. In a new teaser trailer, we can see the iconic items associated with each member of the Avengers: Banner's glasses, Iron Man's armour, Thor's Hammer and Captain America's shield. Unfortunately, the items are looking a little bit worse for wear, and the Avengers themselves are conspicuous by their absence. The woman doing the voiceover continues the glum outlook, stating that the "time of heroes is over", but we just need ... Read More »

Man, 2017 looks to be a promising year for fighting games! Despite promising early 2017 during the E3 story reveal, Bandai Namco have revealed that Tekken 7 will release worldwide on June 2nd 2017, stating on the TEKKEN Facebook page that the delay was to ensure that Tekken 7 is the most complete fighting game of this generation. Injustice 2 might have something to say about that, but still. The release date was revealed in an accompanying story trailer which gave us even more of a taste between the conflict between Heihachi and his son Kazuya, asking what drives your ambition: ... Here we are, 12 hours removed from our last piece of news regarding For Honor, and we're back at it again with more. Seems like Ubisoft are dropping information on the upcoming "sword-and-board" simulator, and we're totally okay with that. We've bought VIP tickets to the hype train. On top of the three trailers released earlier which detailed 3 more heroes for each of the factions, we've now been treated to a trailer detailing the Faction War metagame. Essentially playing out exactly how you might imagine it would, players pick to represent either the Knights, the Vikings and the Samurai and ... Read More »
It's that time of the week once again. 5pm on a Thursday, Xbox's Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson reveals the latest additions to the backwards compatibility program. It's like clockwork, except with occasional Tuesday reveals to throw us off the scent. Today, Major Nelson followed the usual procedure and took to Twitter to reveal the following: TEKKEN 6, Midway Arcade Origins and Mutant Storm Empire are coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today https://t.co/qPMRNrLoTQpic.twitter.com/CmQGOS4hPY — / Larry Hryb / (@majornelson) January 19, 2017 Midway Arcade Origins is okay if you want to relive the glory days of Rampage or Joust, ...
