Often being referred to as Netflix for gamers, Xbox Game Pass gives players unlimited access to hundreds of games for the price of a fairly reasonable subscription. It's perfect for new and existing Xbox players looking to give their gaming library an immediate shot in the arm. Of course, like the backward compatibility library, Xbox aren't afraid of expansion, and have announced that seven new games will be joining the roster on the 1st of August. Check out the video from Major Nelson's Twitter account below: Seven new titles are being added to Xbox Game Pass starting 01 August. See ... Read More »
If you think that the current realistic versions of Tomb Raider are a bit too serious, and want to go back to the cheesier games of old, today just might be your day. Major Nelson has took to Twitter, as he usually does, to reveal the next addition to the backwards compatibility program: Tomb Raider Underworld is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today https://t.co/qPMRNs2ZLopic.twitter.com/SKClshDgo0 — 💬 Larry Hryb (@majornelson) July 27, 2017 Tomb Raider: Underworld was the sequel to Tomb Raider's first reboot, the 2006 release Tomb Raider: Legend, and saw Lara embark on a trip through Norse Mythology ... The WWE 2K games have built somewhat of a reputation for themselves when it comes to impressive collector's editions. Last year was the NXT Edition with a Demon Finn Balor statue, among other things, whilst the year before was dedicated to Stone Cold Steve Austin. This year, it's all about Hustle, Loyalty and Burying Rusev at Battleground. WWE have announced that players can pre-order the Cena (Nuff) Collector's Edition of WWE 2K18, which includes a whole host of John Cena related guff. Pre-ordering it will give you new playable versions of John Cena, alongside legends Rob Van Dam and Batista ... Read More »
Bethesda Softworks have released a new trailer for what is already a contender for Game of the Year if the previous version is anything to go by, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Well, we say new trailer, it's really an extension of some footage from E3. One of the highlights from that E3 trailer was the tense encounter with a Nazi Kommandant inside of an American Diner, with the Kommandant questioning lead character BJ Blazkowicz's credentials. From what we saw, it was already an unnerving scene, and now Bethesda have released the full encounter. Check it out for yourself below, ... Read More »

Speedrunners have been going for well over around two and a half decades, with players competing to complete games in the fastest possible time. We've certainly moved on from the early days of Doom mods and trials, but it's only in the past few years that scene has become as culturally accepted as it is now. You can thank the rise of YouTube and Twitch for that. Of course, this burgeoning community has presented an opportunity for game developers to market to the specific speedrunning audience. One such game is Deadcore, a first person platformer with a heavy emphasis on ... Read More »

SEGA have revealed the latest trailer in their upcoming attempt to salvage the reputation of Modern Sonic, Sonic Forces, which gives us some the new footage on the newest Sonic Villain. Enter Infinite. Not much is currently known about Infinite, other than he hates Sonic, he's more powerful than Sonic, he's formed a super league of evil with Eggman, Chaos, Metal Sonic, Shadow and more, and he's taken the title from Shadow as the edgiest Sonic character in existence. Sonic Forces is the latest Sonic game to fuse 2-D and 3-D platforming, much in the same way Sonic Generations did. ... Read More »
One of the gaming highlights of 2016 was the return of one of the FPS genre's founding fathers: DOOM. The reboot took what people loved about the original games and modernised it for current gamers. It. Kicked. Ass. Over a year on, Bethesda aren't finished with DOOM just yet, and have released Update 6.66. You know, because the game is about Hell? Funny. The update itself is bringing a number of improvements to multiplayer and the SnapMap feature, but that's not all. Firstly, the season pass has now been retired, with all DLC packs now available for all players, for ... Read More »
