We all have seen the popularity of battle royale genre of games.  The online community is forever growing where media platforms such as Twitch and Mixer are becoming as popular as traditional television where the genre has been taking over in viewership.  Darwin Project is one of the newest entries to Xbox for the genre that pits 10 players against each other with a twist that makes it way different from the rest of the titles out there.  Developed by Scavengers Studio and currently in early access, where it shows some promise, it also has a lot of work that … Read More »

The indie developer world has been making a theme out of how much they can squeeze out of great gameplay with minimal Hollywood style appeal. In comes Demimonde, the one-man game development studio behind Octahedron. The studio’s creator Marco, also known as Monomirror, is solely responsible for nearly all aspects of the game, including design, programming, and art. Octahedron brings new life into action puzzle platformers through addictive fun gameplay with a very unique visual appeal. From the beginning as well as looking at any trailers you find, you will wonder what Octahedron is even about. Its mix of visuals … Read More »

Over a year ago, we had the pleasure of reviewing Bridge Constructor Stunts – the sequel to 2015’s Bridge Constructor. It was a fun way to pass the time testing your logic in basic physics while trying to complete puzzles involving moving a vehicle from point A to point B without any hindrance. Developer ClockStone is now taking a new twist with adding in a spin from the classic series Portal in its follow up Bridge Constructor Portal. The concept here is the same as before.  You have to create ramps and bridges to get vehicles to the end point … Read More »

It’s not a big surprise but Massive Studios has been very quiet on what was next for The Division.  We weren’t sure if we were getting more year 3 content beyond patch 1.8, which was a big step in the continued revival of the game, or if we were to expect a new entry.  Well we now know that The Division 2 is coming and we will learn a lot more during E3 2018 later this year.  The expo is set to begin on 12 June, 2018 and end on 14 June, 2018.  Look for Massive to have a spot … Read More »

Have you ever experienced something and just think to yourself “what just happened?”. Not that it was a bad thing but the experience was so random and off the wall that you just feel weird after partaking in it.  Welcome to Mutant League Football, a witty recreation of the 1993 American Football classic that uses creatures and machines in a make believe league that focuses on comedic style sport a-la NFL Blitz. Mutant League Football is based completely on inappropriate jokes, lots of violence, and a heavy arcade style of the sport that gives quick cheap thrills and entices a … Read More »

Splinter Cell has always been notorious for it’s stealth gameplay and rewarding players for eliminating enemies through an easier experience by doing so.  Splinter Cell: Conviction kind of broke away from the traditional Splinter Cell titles by introducing Sam Fisher in a very personal dilemma where his family is in trouble.  This gives players a look into the more human side of him where Sam is more desperate and in your face. For those who never experienced this Splinter Cell title, well today is your lucky day as Conviction is now available as part of the backwards compatibility program.  Fortunately … Read More »

For those of you who never paid attention in any history class, during the 1940’s the world was in its second World War.  Now as a gamer well after the fact, this traumatic event has given us the opportunity for us to try to relive those experiences as a front lines warfighter.  Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China gives everyone a chance to experience those amazing dogfights in the skies of the war while giving players a bunch of ways to play. As XboxOneUK’s resident Yank, and a former member of the US military, it was hard for me to look … Read More »

Typically people play games in two different ways. There are those that like to power through a single player campaign as quickly as possible and get to the climax of a story and then there are those that spend their time checking every little crevice for secrets, more ammo, or even maybe a side quest that helps enhance the overall experience. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is definitely for those of the latter of the two.  It is a game that allows players to explore in a somewhat open-world the paranormal activity of a small town known as Red Creek … Read More »
