Following on from Gamespot’s interview with Aaron Greenberg earlier in the week, (which we covered HERE), where the Microsoft Marketing Lead stating it was the “Quality” of the title that they were prioritising over, we have gone ahead and looked at the aggregate score for Xbox One titles along with looking at the number of games available for the system. Is it really the case of Quality over Quantity? I will be running the numbers against the direct competition in the PS4 as the most viable option. Looking at the numbers, specifically on Metacritic, they cast a small shadow over … Read More »

Reviewing a “party game” such as the Jackbox Party Pack 2 is no easy task, you need the right number of people, people willing to play these games, and then you have to garnish everyone’s feedback and put it in to the written word, so here we go, does this collection of party games tick all the boxes you would want? The best way to review the package as a whole is to review and detail each game in the collection, so I will break the review down into smaller sections, if one particular game interests you more, skip ahead! … Read More »

If you were one of the lucky users that got to play the Star Wars Battlefront BETA recently, you may have had fears that it would be a short (obviously online only) experience. With a real limit to the Perks, Weapons, Heroes and Missions available during the test. However a Reddit user, “me_and_my_johnson”, has data-mined the entire BETA and revealed the full list (that we know of for now) of pretty much everything available in Star Wars Battlefront. Obviously, there is no story really to speak of as it is online, but these could be considered as “Spoilers” if you don’t … Read More »

As I sit here, struggling for something to play, looking at my 156 games (Don’t judge me), I wonder what it must be like for the kid who maybe saved their money up and brought an Xbox One (with maybe a bundled game) or the parent at Christmas time who could only do the same, is there anything else they could load onto their Xbox One with just a handy internet connection? So I scrolled through the game list and wondered what I could find for FREE, this is what I came across, I will also be mentioning some other … Read More »

While not strictly Xbox One news, still pretty big and will have big reverberations around the gaming world i think. The single player portion of Treyarch’s next Call of Duty game has proven too much for the last generation of consoles. Treyarch wasn’t building the last-generation versions of Black Ops 3, though it was overseeing them. Beenox and Mercenary Technology had been assigned the unenviable task of making the game work on old technology. Just months before the game is due to arrive, however, they’ve pulled the plug on those versions getting the campaign mode. “The ambitious scope of the 1-4 … Read More »
