Developer Treyarch have released the first patch for Call of Duty: Black ops 4 that is intended to fix some balance issues with the game. The biggest thing to be affected is some issues that players have been having with armour.
The armour in both multiplayer and Blackout have been nerfed. The armour in multiplayer was affecting hits to body parts with damage multipliers, such as heads and upper chests, far more than it should have been. This has meant that enemies were taking multiple headshots and soaking them up like a sponge. This issue has now been addressed. A similar issue has also been fixed in Blackout as well.
In regards to Blackout there has also been a change to the audio. Now footsteps of teammates will be quieter than enemy footsteps, this means it will be easier to determine who is friend and foe. An issue that made some footsteps silent has also been fixed.
There has also been some balancing done to certain weapons as well. SMG’s have received a buff and assault rifles have received a nerf to but them both in line with each other.
