It’s a pretty well-known fact that eating fast food while playing your Xbox is guaranteed to improve your performance by 150%, (*not actual fact) but can result in your controller looking and feeling like you might have been wearing gloves made of olive oil and Vaseline. Not pleasant.
Well, the bods at Microsoft have decided to develop a controller designed to repel all the grease that can be thrown at it, thanks to being covered in a urethane, grease resistant coating.
Thanks to a partnership with PUBG the controller comes in a cool looking grey and yellow, (not KFC white and red) but sadly unless you’re located in the land of marsupials and the greatest tourism video ever made you won’t be able to get your hands on one….yet. That’s because this greaseproof controller is being used to promote the lauch of Player Unkown Battlegrounds in that market.
We’re hoping that the big bosses at Microsoft see how much demand there is for this controller and make it universally available. Until then, UK players will just need to keep the kitchen towel nearby when digging into a kebab at the same time as playing.
