Gene Rain Hits Xbox One on 24th July

With still months to go until the release of Black Ops 4 to scratch that shooter itch, perhaps some solace can be found in the announcement that visually stunning third person shooter Gene Rain is coming to Xbox One on 24th July following its initial stint on PlayStation and Steam.

The game, published and developed by Deeli Network, is described as “a next-gen 3D third person shooter…set in a futuristic world, with a linear narrative structure, and uses shocking visual effects to present a brand new world for the players’ enjoyment” on the game’s Steam page.

Featuring a variety of enemy types, weapons, and locations, Gene Rain will see players take control of three playable characters: Alex, a cybernetically enhanced human; Salman, a robot; and Li Ying, a human, members of a “Death Squad” whose goal is to end world conflicts.

Don’t just take our word for it either. IGN gave the game a boast-worthy score of 7/10 writing “If you like science fiction [third person shooters], then [Gene Rain] can really give you a unique experience.”
