E3 2018: Forza Horizon 4

Buckle your seatbelts, racing fans, because Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 4, the wild off-road spinoff to the Xbox’s flagship racing series.

Playground Games’ Ralph Fulton illustrated the new game, which will be set right here in the UK, and promises to feature dynamic seasons. Spring will show off the gorgeous vistas of Britain whereas winter will mean lakes will be frozen and snow will make driving that extra bit tricky.

This UK is set to be a “shared open world” where every other driver you meet on the road will be another player who you can race through the streets of Edinburgh, or go off-road in the English countryside.

In terms of the dynamic seasons, Fulton states that each season will offer its own gameplay challenges. Time of day and weather are also dynamic and will be synchronised across the shared world so players will experience the same challenges together.

Horizon 4 will be released on October 22nd, and will arrive on Xbox Game Pass the same day.
