Halo: Fireteam Raven isn’t exactly the new Halo game that fans were calling for but we are getting it a new arcade only on-rails shooter. More bad news depending on how you look at it 343 Industries have recently gone on record saying that it is probably not going to come to Xbox Consoles. In the latest Halo weekly blog post, they confirmed that it has no plans to bring Fireteam Raven to Xbox or any other systems…at least not yet.
In the post, 343 went into detail saying that Fireteam Raven is a “unique arcade experience” that makes uses of a giant custom-made cabinet with a 130-inch 4K screen and four mounted machine guns. So you can imagine that this “experience” will be a little be a little difficult to replicate on a home screen, But if you have a lot of money just lying around and want your very own 11ft arcade cabinet, 343 said the game will be available from distributors “on a broader level” later this year; other details will come later.
We will admit that bringing a Halo game to the arcades in an awesome idea most of us grew up on games like this. Asking your parents for one more pound so that you can get that little bit further in House of the dead still brings back fond memories to this day.
