Xbox Showing Support For Japanese Publishers

In a recent Tweet by Xbox Overlord Phil Spencer, he said we could expect Microsoft to show off some games from Japanese publishers on its stage at this years E3. Spencer said to a fan who asked if JRPGs would get stage time this year he replied with this.

“As of now, yes. Things can change but like last year I wanted to make sure we supported our Japanese publishers on our stage and this year we are working to do the same. It’s important to us.”— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) April 29, 2018

It’s good to see Microsoft’s backing and talking about Japanese games during E3. Microsoft’s E3 2018 briefing takes place on the 11th of June.

Hopefully, we won’t have another Scalebound fiasco. A game that was created by the well known Japanese developer Platinum Games. Famous for Vanquish and Bayonetta was officially announced at Microsoft Studios press conference at E3 2014 with a cinematic trailer. Scalebound was set to be released worldwide for the Xbox One in late 2016 but was later delayed to 2017. The game’s cancellation was announced on January 9, 2017. If you haven’t seen or heard of it check out the trailer below
