The Latest Fortnite Patch Brings Some Interesting New Features

The worldwide sensation that is Fortnite has had it’s latest update launched, update 3.5, and it comes with some very interesting new features.

The first of these features is the Port-a-Fort grenades. These little balls of joy can be thrown and a ready built fort will pop up right where you want it, handy in those tricky end-game situations. Our own personal opinion on these is that we hope that they are a rare find or fire fights will turn into fights based solely around forts.

The second and probably more interesting addition is that of a replay system. This feature will include three different modes , drone, third person and gameplay. These will include “cinematic camera settings,” adjustable playback speed, and player outlines and name plates which will help you “tell your story better.” Which basically means that it will allow you to show off to your friends on Facebook in a much better way. It also sounds as if there will be a replay contest coming up soon, but we’ll have to wait and see about that.

Epic Games had this to say about the new replay system “With a suite of cinematic settings you can now capture your most memorable moments, highlights and cinematics. We can’t wait to see what you create. You have an opportunity to win phenomenal prizes with the Replay system… very soon.”

There are also a few other inclusions in this update including a new 50v50 Limited Time Mode, four new “Cyberpunk Heroes” and a bunch of neon-infused weapons in Save the World, login queue improvements, and changes to V-Bucks. This change to the V-Bucks system will allow you to share the currency between your accounts on the Xbox, PC and mobile platforms.
