The UK’s biggest video game event EGX has just gone live with ticket sales for this years event: EGX 2018. If you have been before then you know the score, but for those that havn’t, here is what you are in for.
EGX 2018 will be no small event, with 80,000 people expected this year and 1,500 screens of interactive entertainment. It covers all areas of video games and gaming culture and game wise everything from massive blockbuster triple-A titles to smaller innovative indie games.
There is an E sports arena, cosplay arena (how-to sessions, competitions and daily masquerades), a retro gaming area spanning 40 years of gaming, developer sessions and talks for all the latest news and insight into game development, a massive show floor where you can play games pre-release, a Rezzed zone which has the worlds largest collection of indie games and a games library where you can choose from a vast catalogue and play with friends. There are also meet and greet opportunities with Youtubers and Twitch personalities and if you fancy getting into the industry then the career fair is for you.
If you aren’t too knackered from the daytime events then there are even community parties on the Friday and Saturday nights. It is the video games event and we highly recommend you check it out and don’t wait too long for tickets as they do sell out.

EGX runs from the 20th-23rd September at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.
