This Weeks New Releases – W/C 19th February

Game Release This Week

With spin-offs, indies and a game preview title exiting said status, there’s a varied selection of titles releasing this week so there should be something for everyone.

Tuesday 20th February

Metal Gear Survive

Create your own character and learn to survive. Scavenge resources, craft weapons, build a base camp and explore the unknown while developing the survival skills necessary in this hostile environment. In CO-OP mode, assemble a team of four players to infiltrate and defend areas from hordes of creatures. Place fortifications and defensive weapons strategically to give you an advantage against ever intensifying enemies. Team work and resourcefulness are key in these fast paced co-op missions.

The Station

How would you react if we discovered a sentient alien civilization, challenging everything we know about biology, chemistry, physics, religion, and answering the questions man has asked throughout history? But what if this alien world was discovered in a state of civil war? Determining that the rewards outweigh the risks, an undetectable space station with a small three-person crew deploys to research the alien culture in search of a means towards a peaceful relationship. Unable to contact the crew, a recon specialist to sent to uncover what happened. What players discover will challenge their view of surveillance, imperialism and moral law.

Wednesday 21st February

Rad Rodgers

Rad is a rambunctious but spirited young boy who maybe plays too many video games. After dozing off at the tail end of a long night of gaming, Rad awakens to find his dusty old console has turned itself back on. Suddenly a vortex emerges and he’s sucked into his TV, where he finds himself the star in his very own video game adventure. The game brings back the 90’s-era platformer with a game inspired by classics like Commander Keen, Conker, Ruff’n’Tumble & Jazz Jackrabbit.

Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten DX

Defender’s Quest is a Tower-Defense/RPG Hybrid (Think Final Fantasy Tactics meets Tower Defense). It focuses on three things: tactical depth, customization, and story. That means no random encounters, no spikey-haired emo kids, no forced time sinks, and no tedious, repetitive battles.

Friday 23rd February

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet

Experience an original story where you are the protagonist in the world of Gun Gale Online. Create your own avatar and explore devasted lands while experiencing exciting third person shooting in this action RPG. Encounter enemies and run into new and familiar faces from the Sword Art Online series.

Past Cure

Past Cure is a dark psychological thriller that blurs the lines between dreams and reality. An intense, cinematic, story-driven experience that challenges the player to use mind-bending mental abilities to survive. After years of torture, former elite soldier Ian lives in a safe house with his brother, struggling with memory loss and the effects of the experiments he was forced to endure. In an attempt to tap into the hidden power of the mind, his captors left him scarred with unrelenting nightmares, visions and unstable powers such as time manipulation and telekinesis. Driven by his desperate need for the truth and a thirst for revenge, Ian, assisted by his brother, sets out on a thrilling hunt for the masterminds of this conspiracy. He hopes to uncover exactly what his enemies have done to him and why? As Ian plunges into a criminal underworld in pursuit of his only lead, he is forced to use his mental powers more and more to survive. But with each use, his mind becomes ever more detached from reality, revealing the presence of an even darker force at play.

Fable Fortune

Fable Fortune exits game preview and becomes a full release.  Play as one of six unique Heroes in a collectible card game that combines the iconic world and characters of Albion with fast-paced and thrilling tactical gameplay. In Fable Fortune, your destiny is on the cards!
