Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Coming To Xbox One This Spring

The name Shaquille O’Neal might not mean a lot to you if you’re under the age of 30 however for those of us who unfortunate enough to be losing our hair, “or gaining face” on a daily basis the name is probably less synonymous with the sport that brought him fame, (Basketball) and more with the pretty awful game he gave his image rights to – Shaq Fu.

In Shaq Fu you turn up at a dojo, speak to a martial arts master and then travel to another dimension to save a young boy. Well if you’re a fan of the original – and most of you won’t be considering its often rated one of the worst games ever made –  then you’ll be pleased to hear Saber Interactive and Wired Productions are joining forces to bring this old skool title to Xbox One.

In this release trailer for Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn which includes footage of the original 1994 console game, they even refer to how terrible the original was.  Based on the footage of the latest iteration it appears that Saber Interactive and Wired Productions have pulled the stops out to make the sequel better than the original.

We’re looking forward to getting our hands on a copy to review later this year.
