Xbox Game Pass To Expand Dramatically

The Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service offered by Microsoft so that for a monthly fee you can download a whole host of games from the Xbox’s rosta. You can just download them and try them or you can buy them for your permanent games library.

Today the head of Xbox Phil Spencer has been waxing lyrical about the service. In his musings he touched upon subjects very close to our hearts. He said that they had been listening to fans and found that what we would like most is access to big named games through the service at launch, not a little later. Well the company have listened and this is what we are getting.

Xbox exclusive games that come from the Microsoft Studios will be launched onto the Game Pass service at the time of their global release. This means that when it launches on March 20th we will be able to play Sea of Thieves through the service. It also means that other upcoming titles including State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 will also be available at launch.

Currently Microsoft are offering a 14 day free trial for the service and after that there will be a monthly fee of £7.99. This could be the right time to give the service a try. You can sign up either on your Xbox or at the Xbox Store.
