This Video Of Shadow Of War Shows How PS4 Pro Visuals Cannot Compete With Xbox One X
It’s fair to say that when it comes to arguments between PS4 Pro and Xbox One X fans, visuals are going to be one area where the Xbox One X fans will always be winners. How big that difference in visual quality is becomes clear once you watch the video below from Digital Foundry.
Thanks to the incredible power delivered by the Xbox One X’s 12GB of GDDR5 memory even the most mundane of background details, (walls, floors) go from post 5-pint fuzziness to razor-sharp clarity.
Shadow of War on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X offers two modes – Quality or Resolution. Quality mode increases texture detail, draw distance, improved shadow and lighting quality, increased vegetation, improved ambient occlusion, higher polygon counts, and texture filtering improvements. Resolution mode increases texture detail and targets native 4k.
Despite being an early mode Digital Foundry reported visuals on the Xbox One X to be a dramatic improvement over PS4 Pro offering smoother visuals and improved LOD’s.
