After much testing, Microsoft has now released the Fall update to all owners of a Xbox One console. The new update is a huge overhaul of the visual interface as well as new features to help navigate and find what’s important to you as well as features to prepare for the launch of Xbox One X in the upcoming weeks.
The home screen is fully customizable allowing you to add friends, games and any other service you might be interested in. You will be able to easily see who is online and what they are doing right from the home screen.
This is the update too where you can now enhance the UI with either a light or dark look. The dark menus can now be replaced with a white background with black text instead of the grey/black backgrounds we have been used to.
Users will now have the ability to transfer games to a new console, like the Xbox One X, for example via HDD or over a network connection as well. About a week ago, Microsoft has also allowed those who plan on getting Xbox One X to download the 4K enhancements for some games already for this feature so you will be ready to go that much quicker.
For those who love to stream, you will now be able to stream in full 1080p as well now through Mixer. Xbox One X owners will be able to take snapshots and record in 4K as well.
