What’s New – W/C 9th October 2017

As we roll on into autumn, the number of games coming out carries on building up and this week is no exception. A couple of big hitters land this week – here’s what you can spend your money over the next 7 days.

10th October 2017

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

The latest game from Monolith is an open world action game set in the world of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings saga. Playing as the ranger Talion you’re tasked with bringing down the dark enemies of Sauron by conquering territory, and turning his allies against him. It’s going to be a massive game that you’ll be able to lose yourself in – and early impressions are that it’s very good indeed.

The Evil Within 2

From Shinji Mikami (the guy behind Resident Evil), The Evil Within 2 is a survival horror sequel that sees protagonist Sebastian Castellanos entering the nightmarish world of STEM again – this time in the hopes of rescuing his daughter. If you like your games to scare the daylights out of you and incredibly gory, this one will be right up your street.

RAID: World War 2

Coming from Starbreeze Publishing – the team behind Payday, RAID: World War 2 is a 4 player co-op shooter that sees you taking orders from Control (voiced by none other than John Cleese) to carry out objective based missions to take down the Nazi war machine.

Notable indie games landing this week include Danger Zone, from some ex Burnout devs – this one looks like a lot of destructive fun, Shiny, and Deadbeat Heroes.

Which of these will you be picking up? Will you be slaying orcs, rescuing a daughter or murdering Nazis? Let us know in the comments below!
