What’s New – W/C 2nd October 2017
Q4 is here! The time of year when gamers bankrupt themselves so they can gorge on the glut of new releases has finally arrived, and the top games begin to appear on store shelves. This is what you can blow your hard earned cash on this week…
Monday 2nd October
The Hunter: Call of the WildThis hunting simulation from Avalanche Studios arrives on Monday. As you can see from the shot above, it’s absolutely bloomin’ gorgeous to look at. Our review of it will be available here from 11am.
Tuesday 3rd October
Forza Motorsport 7
Turn 10 Studio‘s bi-annual racing sim returns on Tuesday for its seventh instalment, bringing with it a ridiculous number of cars, tracks and now includes customisable drivers as well. It’s stunning to look at, and a 4K pack will ship in time for the Xbox One X launch. If you need a game to show off just how gorgeous games can look, this is the one to get.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen Remastered
Capcom‘s Dragon’s Dogma was a game that found a cult following despite launching to middling reviews back on the Xbox 360. This week, the all-singing all-dancing remastered version, complete with all DLC drops on Xbox One. If you’re into sprawling RPG’s, this one’s probably up your street. Games don’t gain cult followings for no reason, after all.
Friday 6th October
The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game
Another Lego movie obviously needs a tie-in video game, and the latest one is no exception. Based on the new Ninjago movie, this one offers you the chance to play as characters from the movie across multiple locations. Lego games are normally good clean fun for all the family, it’s seems safe to expect the same from this one too.
Indie games of note that land this week include Let Them Come, N++, A Hat in Time, Bulb Boy, Jydge, and Iron Wings. We’ll have a review of the last two up in the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled for those one.
What will you be picking up this week? Will you be burning up the track in Forza, or trekking the wilds in Dragon’s Dogma? Let us know in the comments below!
