What’s New – W/C 18th September 2017
As another week begins, it’s time for us to take a moment to trawl the internet to give you your one-stop-shop for new releases. After a week of mostly sports games last week, there’s a bit more variety coming out this week. The big winter release season has begun, and we’ve got a couple of highly anticipated games on the list below!
Tuesday 19th September
Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite
The latest instalment of the beloved fighting game series arrives, featuring the toughest and best of the Marvel and Capcom rosters. Ever wondered how Thor would fare in a fight against Ryu? Then you’re going to need to check this one out. Just don’t expect to find Wolverine in it.
Wednesday 20th September
If you fancy a change of pace from fighting, shooting, racing or soccer, Morphite is a game you should take a look at. Playing like a cross between Metroid Prime, Journey, and No Man’s Sky, Morphite sees you exploring an ambient, procedurally generated universe. You’ll be able to check out our review on 19th September.
Friday 22nd September
Project Cars 2
The second big-hitter of the week lands on Friday in the form of Project Cars 2. It’s bigger and better than the original, including over 180 vehicles from the various disciplines of motorsport from GT3 to Indycar racing and pretty much everything in between. Petrol heads, rev your engines!
SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell
Described by its developer as “the world’s only competitive heavy metal first-person platformer”, SEUM is exactly what it says on the tin and is a lot of fun. Check out our review here.
Ink is an interesting indie platformer, in which the big twist is that the platforms are invisible until ink is flicked across them. It’s hardcore, and reminiscent of Super Meat Boy.
Other notable releases this week include the indie games Pankapu, Super Hydorah, Bloody Zombies, and Caveman Warriors.
So, if you’re looking for something that doesn’t involve footballs or shooting of the first person variety, there’s plenty for you to choose from this week. See anything that takes your fancy? Let us know in the comments below!
