Super Meat Boy Forever Coming To Xbox One Next Year
For all you masochists and hardcore platforming fans, Team Meat have the great news you’ve been waiting for: Super Meat Boy is coming back for round 2.
Revealed at PAX West’s Nindies Showcase, Super Meat Boy Forever will give players more of the gory, challenging and rewarding platforming action we’ve come to expect. And now you can punch enemies, which is fun.
One particular feature that might cause a controversy is that Meat Boy and Bandage Girl always run, but Team Meat were quick to dispel the notion that Super Meat Boy Forever was some kind of infinite runner, stating that calling the game an infinite doesn’t really tackle the “meat” of what the game is about: “Meat Boy / Bandage Girl do always run, but there is so much more to the game than running. They can attack enemies, they can dash through the air, there are tons of levels, there are bosses, there are secrets, and there is a surprising amount of difficulty that doesn’t feel unfair.”
Though Super Meat Boy Forever was revealed at a Nintendo Panel, the game will be releasing on other consoles and mobiles too. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts on the return of Super Meat Boy!
