Destiny 2 Raid Leaked Through PS4 Trophy Reveal As Well As Possible Story Points

Destiny 2 game director Luke Smith has been very hush on the details of Destiny 2’s first raid.  That’s no surprise as it has been in Bungie’s nature to make it an unknown race for players to get through.  However we now know at least the name, if not what the theme of the raid is.

Destiny 2 Raid Reveal

The Belly of the Beast trophy states “Beat the Leviathan Raid.”  So it’s safe to assume that Guardians will be up against one of the mythical creatures known as the Leviathan.  for those who haven’t followed Destiny’s lore, a Leviathan was a massive creature that Oryx killed on his quest to become the Taken King.  It’s exciting to see that in some way these creatures will play a part in Destiny 2.

Another thing to note is the trophy listed below it called “The Prestige.”  Prestige difficulty is something new to Destiny as the more difficult raid versions were known as heroic difficulty.  Also, since it references the Nightfall as well, there appears to be different difficulties set for the Nightfall as well.

Another thing to take away from the list of trophies is that the trophy called “Lest Ye Be Judged” says “Encounter an Emissary from beyond.”  Is this the prince of the Reef who the grimore does confirm as still alive or is this going to be the return of the queen.

There are so many things now we can speculate but with Destiny 2 being less than 2 weeks away for consoles, we will have answers soon enough.

What do you think this means for the raid?  Are we going to be reunited with the queen or her brother from the Reef?  Let us know in the comments below!
