Dragonball FighterZ Getting New Characters, Story and Online Modes

It’s fair to say that Dragonball FighterZ is one of the most anticipated fighting games in recent memory. The more we hear about it, the more excited we get, and Shonen Jump’s weekly magazine Weekly Jump in Japan have unveiled some exciting new information.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the magazine article has revealed a bunch of new details about the upcoming game. Firstly, 4 new characters will be joining the roster. Androids 16 & 18 will be available alongside the Super Saiyan Blue versions of Goku and Vegeta. Still waiting on that Hercule announcement.

The article also talks about the original Story mode that’ll be included with the game. Translated by the folks at Gematsu, the plot will concern the revived Android 16 and the super warriors getting picked off one by one. It’ll be a whole new plot for Goku and friends depicted in high-end animation.

Perhaps most exciting is the new information surrounding the online party 3v3 matches. Each player will control an individual character on each team, with characters switching in real time. If you’re only good with one character, this mode will be perfect for you.

How excited are you for Dragonball FighterZ? Will you be signing up for the beta on August 22nd? Sound off in the comments below!
