Two More Titles Join Backwards Compatibility Library

Major Nelson has today revealed the latest Xbox 360 titles to become backwards compatible as Tuesday becomes the new Thursday for announcements.

First and foremost, though a mixed duo, both titles are fully fledged disc releases. First up is the spin off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. A complete new take on the franchise which debuted in 2013, sees you take the role of Raiden in this full on action hack and slash adventure. The game garnered positive reviews upon its release so fans of the series may be pleased to see this now playable on Xbox One.

And secondly is one of those weird ones. Not the game, but the developers decision to make it backwards compatible. Screamride (which is readily available as an Xbox One title and also through the game pass program), will most likely be welcomed by no one. But hey, if you own a copy on Xbox 360 and want to revisit, then your dreams have come true.

And that’s it for now. We at Xbouk HQ were hoping for some Sonic Adventure, being the next generation Sonic Twosday. But we can’t have everything in life….can we?
