Q.U.B.E 2 Gets A New Teaser Trailer, Looks Awesome
For fans of first person puzzle games in a similar vein as Portal, Q.U.B.E was a delightful little game with interesting puzzles and a story that kept you guessing until the very end.
Now Toxic Games have revealed a new teaser trailer for the long-awaited sequel, Q.U.B.E 2, and it looks to give players a lot more of what they enjoyed in the previous game: difficult but engaging block puzzles. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.
The original Q.U.B.E saw players take on the role of an astronaut who infiltrated a cube shaped alien vessel on a collision course with Earth, and you’re told that solving puzzles will cause the vessel to dismantle before impact. Though it’s unclear from the trailer whether or not you’re playing as that same astronaut, it would appear that the sequel takes place on the alien homeworld, and we must now solve puzzles to get home.
A release date hasn’t been outlined yet, other than a vague “early 2018”. Did you play the original game? What were your thoughts, and are you excited for the sequel? Check out the trailer and sound off in the comments below!
