Xbox 360 Indie Games Program Returns To Xbox One
Back in March at the Game Developer Conference, Microsoft had some tasty tidbits to announce. One in particular was how they were introducing the Xbox Live Creators Program, which allows developers to incorporate Xbox Live features on their games across all Windows platforms and devices.
Yesterday, this program began rolling out to select preview members, and as one of the lucky ones to have been selected, let me tell you that this is most certainly the new iteration of Xbox Indie Games seen on the Xbox 360. Only a handful of titles are available at the moment including Solitaire HD, Space Cat! and Whispers in the Dark. Only two of these titles are free, however. Once the program is rolled out to everybody else, we should expect to see plenty more games on offer.
If you’re one of the selected preview members, you can enrol through the Xbox Insider Hub, then you will notice a new section added to the top of the browse games store page – Creators Program.
Are you excited to have a chance at playing lesser-known titles or would you rather your games to have more support behind them? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
