Gameplay Trailer Revealed For Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker

Any residents of the Hidden Leaf Village in the house? Looks like Naruto is entering the realm of 4v4 online multiplayer games. It’s already set to be an interesting departure from the traditional 1v1 arena fighters that Naruto has become accustomed to, and one that could be genuinely fun if the trailer is anything to go by.

Players will pick characters from the Naruto series that fall into 1 of 4 classes: Attack, Ranged, Defense and Heal. All are fairly self-explanatory classes and roles, and the gameplay itself looks to be simple enough for anyone to pick up and play. The eight characters already confirmed for the game are Naruto (0bviously), Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, Itachi, Pain, Kisame and Konan. If Might Guy isn’t part of the final roster then I swear to god…

Also confirmed are three game types: Barrier Battle looks to be a Domination style objective type, whilst Flag Battle is your standard Capture the Flag with 200% more Ninja running. The final game type is a mission mode that sees you team up with 3 friends to take on various bosses, escort missions and more.

Whether or not Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker makes an impact when it launches in 2018 remains to be seen, but first impressions are positive at least. Like Dragonball FighterZ, it’s great to see Bandai Namco take an established franchise in a new direction. Next up will be a One Piece Kart Racer.
