Friday the 13th Has An Update Incoming

In a tweet this afternoon, Gun Media and Illfonic have announced that Friday the 13th will be receiving an update. The update will arrive tomorrow (20th June 2017) on all platforms, and will be free. Check out the video below (contains NSFW language!).

The update provides new counselor outfits, 13,000 credits for each player and a double XP weekend – which will run from 23rd June to 25th June.

In addition, the ‘Big Thank You Party’ (as it’s being called) will introduce the retro Jason skin to the game, and a chiptune soundtrack. All of this is being offered as a:

“Thank you all again for your patience while we fixed those pesky servers and launch issues.”

Friday the 13th launched in May and by all accounts massively exceeded the expectations of the developers – which has led to an inconsistent experience for players. Patches have already been released that have resolved most of the problems.

Have you been playing Friday the 13th? How has your experience been? Will you take advantage of the double XP weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
