Forget Scorpio; Microsoft Announces Xbox One X And Release Date

After months of speculation, rumour and intrigue Microsoft has made it’s official announcement at E3 2017 regarding the 4k next-gen console that until today has been known as, “Scorpio” or, “Project Scorpio”.

Xbox One X will be officially released on November 7th 2017.

Good news also came with the announcement that Xbox One X will be able to run all current Xbox One games as well as Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles as well as be compatible with all existing Xbox One accessories.

Considering the extremely impressive spec, (including 6 Teraflops of graphical power and a liquid cooled vapour-chamber) it’s a testimony to Microsoft’s engineers that the Xbox One X will be, “the smallest Xbox ever”.

Will you be taking a sick day on November 7th? Are you happy with the name Xbox One X or did you prefer Scorpio? Be sure to comment.
