Microsoft E3 Press Conference Expectations And Information

Xbox E3 2016 Mike Ybarra

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known simply as E3, has been a gala where the biggest names in entertainment and electronics gather to show off what the future holds in store.  For most of us it’s just a a show adding more and more to our Christmas list.  Microsoft is always one of the biggest names to show and this year they have a lot that people are looking forward to.  Although E3 actually begins 13 June until 15 June, Microsoft will have their press conference on Sunday, 11 June at 2pm PT/5pm ET/10pm BST.

The biggest elephant in the room though is the full details on Project Scorpio.  First announced at last year’s E3 as simply “the most power console in history,” little detail has been spilled on what the console will cost consumers as well as when it will ever launch.  We know from last year’s show that it will be later this year but no exact date.  Also, what will the console look like?  Dev kits have been given to developers and Digital Foundry has been hands on with it as well confirming that it is the most power console around, but no one has seen the final product.  We imagine all these questions will be answered this weekend as well as a long list of games that will be enhanced by the power house system.

But of course, how can we watch history unfold?  You can watch all the action as it unfolds from Microsoft’s YouTube, Twitch, and even through your Xbox One.

This is a big moment for Microsoft!  Hopefully they pitch their future well enough for everyone to want to jump on board.  I for one will be pre-ordering my Scorpio the moment I can.  What about you?  What do you want to see from Microsoft this year?  Let us know in the comments below!
