Warframe Developers Announce New Game And Closed Alpha

Canadian developers Digital Extremes hit success with their free-to-play title Warframe, some comparing it to the likes of Destiny. Warframe has come along way since its initial launch, having had countless updates and additions to the game – all completely free; if you set aside the micro-transactions for more cosmetic items.

Today, they’ve announced the next project that they’re working on, Keystone, and it looks like it’s already well under way through development as they are offering you the chance to sign up for their closed alpha – so still quite some time away from an actual launch of the title.

This time, they’re focusing on a blend of first person shooter and deck building. Intriguing huh? Keystone will take players on a journey through a multi-verse beginning their life on a mystical board game. Cards will help shape the game to your advantage by building decks according to your playstyle offering various powers, benefits and weapons.

You can sign up for the closed alpha over at Keystones official website, but be quick as the alpha is starting later this week.

Will you be partaking in the alpha? How do you feel about this unusual blend of FPS and deck-building strategies? We would be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
